Wow, that's an awful lot of writing for one day, and it isn't even November. I'm impressed; things have really fallen into place. It -- you know. It looks right. Actually -- is this where I say thank you? Thank you.

I'm, uh -- actually gonna withhold my opinion on this place you've been eyeing. I'm aware that I can't change your mind, though I'm not sure how much I'd want you to, anyway. It does look... interesting, I'll say that much. It's a change of pace. It's -- ah. Like I said. We'll see. [ Not nervous. At all. What. ]

Hey, why don't you take a break for the evening? You have plenty of time. Enjoy the last twenty-four hours of 2013, or -- wish it good riddance, whatever works for you. I think I might actually hunt down something to do, this year. Why not, right?

It sounds like you have some first-hand experience. Is it really that bad?

[lucency]

That's putting it lightly, and that's not counting the things I've heard. Gods, human sacrifices - I haven't gotten clear answers out of two of the people I was staying with.

[wisper]

[ Well! Good thing he isn't human, he thinks. ] Yikes. I've heard that terrible deaths are pretty, ah -- commonplace, too. Is that true?

[lucency]

They are. [ she nods. morbidity game strong. ] Some of them come back. Others don't. We - nobody's figured out why, or how, or if those are even questions that can be answered.

[wisper]

Strange. And the ones behind it all probably have no intention of showing themselves, I'm guessing.

[lucency]

Willingly, I'm not sure. I doubt it, but - someone knows them. They know who's behind this, the system of it all, and - if they're inclined to help, then maybe... [ maybe they can all get out of this ridiculous hellbox. ]

I'm trying to piece it together, myself.

It wouldn't be easy, if they can contain some of the people they do. Have you been there very long?

[lucency]

There's - there's some kind of meticulous science behind it. Entire facilities dedicated to the whole operation, from what I do know. [ a beat. ] It's been more than a month. Close to two. Maybe longer - it's hard to keep track of time.

[wisper]

No kidding, I imagine it would be. It's, ah, looking like I don't really have a choice, at this point, but -- if I can manage to give anyone a hand, while I'm there... that's something, at least.

[lucency]

That's a preferable way to think about it. [ which, her mentality is "get to the bottom of it and save everyone," but still. ] You'll certainly have the opportunity.
