Voicetesting very, very cautiously
No. No matter how much you and your friend think it'd make sense - and it doesn't, nothing has made sense or will make sense since six months or sixteen years ago or four years in the future - we are not going to merge my universe with the universe with that SHIELD thing you're obsessed with.
They're not equipped to deal with this.
Now just... get me some water and quit slaving over my backstory. You have school to get ready for. What's there already is what people can understand. If I go to a game, then you can worry about the novel length thing you're working on. Right now I'd be good with some rest. Maybe you can just give me a minute before you decide what to do. One thing I've learned is that everything would've been made a lot better if we'd all thought things out before acting. That's how things got solved, that's how it needs to be.
We'll see how things work out with you and that other guy up here being in a game before we worry about me. Now. Water? It'll help my ribs.

It's complicated. You probably wouldn't believe me. And I don't want to look crazy on top of creepy.

Aw, c'mon. [ She grins, losing the disgruntled expression. ] You don't look so creepy right now. And I've got great ears! [ She points to them. ] Fire away!

It's - um, well. Imagine a door. It just appears one day, somewhere impossible. Like in a really high snowdrift or embedded into a mountain. It wasn't there yesterday. You open it and you get sucked in. There, you see lots of tunnels. A maze of tunnels. Levels and levels of them, some hallways lit specific colors. The tunnels lead to the future the further up you go and the past the farther down you go when you open a door - they all open from the inside - and step out. They can lead you to anywhere in the world.
Or to other worlds.
And not everything that comes out of those worlds or got trapped in the tunnels is friendly, sane, sentient or possible with the laws of nature as we know them.
But my mother's somewhere down there. So I opened the Door on our side. I went in. Yesterday, six months ago, sixteen years ago, four years in the future. Depending on what Door leads to your world and time.

does your story by chance have the theme song from the Twilight Zone?
It *should*. :D
My mother's not human. Found that out when I stumbled onto the Door to her world. I'm fourteen. She's... I have no idea.
we'll call it The Scary Door
Pssh! [ Hero flaps her lips. ] There's no way you're fourteen! You look older than me!
ILU for that Futurama reference.
[[OOC: Funnily enough the actress I got her icons from is thirteen.]]
everyone loves Futurama
[ ooc: excuse me as I spittake. ]
True that.
[[OOC: That was my reaction, too.]]
