Are you hurt, Hermes? [She laughs.] That's good! You shouldn't make promises you can't keep.

[Turning to Kino, her expression softens.]

I guess you could say so. I'm from a world called Mau. I served Queen Serenity before traveling to Earth to watch over Serena, who is Queen Serenity's reincarnation.

I'm fine, thanks! You're so considerate, Luna. Unlike Kino! Maybe you should be my rider.

[Kino doesn't even comment, ignoring Hermes' antics to focus on Luna.]

You're quite fortunate! I only saw a flying machine once... I've never ridden one. Mau... sounds kind of like "Meow." You all look like cats, I presume?

Reincarnation? Oh, how did you know it was her for sure?

I'm sure Kino has a lot of good qualities. [She had been nothing but nice to her, after all.] I've never thought about that!

[It's kind of funny now that she thinks about it.]

Yes, but we can talk - which isn't normal for Earth cats - and we have symbols on our foreheads. I haven't been home in...a long time.

[Her home is really with Serenity and Serena.]

[Kino glances at Hermes, then half-smiles at Luna.] Don't worry, he doesn't mean what he said earlier. He's just being dramatic.

That's good to hear, it must be nice to have something familiar. What's it like, watching over the reincarnation of someone you used to serve?

See? [She beams and takes a seat, smoothing over the skirt of her dress.] I know he doesn't. He wouldn't stick around if he didn't like you.

Nice...sometimes. She doesn't listen like she should and she doesn't always do what she should. I have to keep a sharp eye on her.
