I would not say that I'd been expecting something like this to happen. I'd thought on the possibility, in those first few weeks, but nothing did seem to come of such a thought.

I would never venture to call you ill-timed in your inspiration, though, my Lady, given that we've made it this far now! I was beginning to worry you'd given up hope. There must be many people looking to share part of Cousin Frodo's tale, and I know that it must be a difficult tale to take on. So then, I think we ought to be able to reach an agreement that you've done well for trying at all!

And I know I'm hardly likely to mind if it takes you time to find firm footing out here. If I'm occupied in being myself, I may not find room to notice your occupation in being myself. It's a kindness that you consider me someone you're most interested in trying to begin with, honestly.

It can't hurt to try, surely.
