See? Didn't I tell you so? It's only a matter of time before Cyrus and I are together again. Then, together, we can deal with Jafar. All three of us, counting Knave of course! It doesn't matter that I have only one wish left. Cyrus is everything to me.

One wish is the only thing keeping Jafar from taking control of you. He can't really change the laws of magic, can he? I mean, what would that do to you if you even tried?

And I have every faith in you to not use it or find another way. We won't let Jafar win.

...I don't know. He never told me exactly what he planned to do with me and my magic when he got control over me, just that he was going to change magic forever. Whatever it is, it won't be good for anyone .

I certainly don't plan on giving away my last wish, although I did promise Knave payment. But I'm sure we can work something else out.

He wants you to force his father to love him, as far as I can understand. You told me that was impossible. Would it end up hurting you if you were forced to do that? I'm just worried those law are in place for a reason.

I'm sure the Knave will be reasonable if he's as a good a friend as you say he is.

...the old man in the prison with me. He must have been Jafar's father. [So many things suddenly make sense] I can't be forced to do it...it just can't be done! When a previous master would make the wish despite my warning, nothing would happen. Magic won't allow it.

He will. He'll grumble about it, but he's stuck by me this far.

I'm just relieved it can't hurt you to do that. But you never know with Jafar, he seems like he has a plan.

I'm glad you've had a loyal friend to assist you. I hated to think of you all alone.

That's what I'm afraid of. He has a plan and he knows the laws of magic. If he knows of a way to break them...being painful for me is going to be the least of our worries.

Because if he can break the laws of magic, he can force you to grant him more wishes? Then you'd never be rid of him.

[And Alice, naturally so, didn't seem too happy about that either]

It's more, imagine what he could do with those wishes. No world would be safe, not Wonderland or the Enchanted Forest, Agrabah or your world. My magic is more powerful then his, which is why it's bound so tightly. I fear for what he would do with more then I fear for my own life.

With an ego like his, he'd probably want to rule all of those worlds at once.

[She was frowning, just imagining the chaos involved with that]

That's why we must to find a way to defeat him. We have to.

[hates to see her frown and gives her a light, teasing kiss]

And we will. I have every faith that we will.

[Well, that certainly made her frown disappear. But Alice can never have just one kiss. She leans in to steal another one, longer and much more lingering before resting her forehead against his]

Once we're free of him, I dare say we might have a bit of peace before someone else wants you again.

[That was the plan and Cyrus would never say to more kisses from Alice. He placed his hands on her waist to hold her close]

And mine. Then maybe we could go home for a little while. I want my father to meet you. He was here - until I had to wish for him to return home.

[That was Alice. Always getting ahead of herself. As if they didn't have a big enough task ahead of them]

It would be an honor to meet your father. I'm glad my magic could assist him.

[But that's why he loved her. She didn't dwell in the present, she looked to the future and focused on how to make it her reality. Even when it there was an evil sorcerer in her way.]

Your magic saved him. I'm sure he'll be more then grateful.

[She cupped his face in her hands, never knowing he had been unconscious when he had granted that wish]

I admit, I wondered what your second wish was for. I'm afraid I wasn't aware of anything when you made it.

[Leans into her touch, smiling kindly.]

I'm sorry. I really had no other choice. I couldn't let him die. He finally believed in me....

It's alright Alice. I don't blame you. As I said, we have one wish left. That's all we need.

I worry about who Jafar might use next. I have a younger sister, who is utterly blameless in all of this. I just hope Jafar knows nothing of her.

[To have her youngest and most innocent sister suffer through any wrath Jafar might bring would be too much for her and the sorcerer had promised to repeat his most successful plan]

I can't make a third wish. I just can't. I'd lose you entirely.

You said your father was here. He knows to protect her now. Jafar can't use your family to hurt you anymore.

[Because how could they know that the consequence of her wish was her father believing it was a dream and the bitch stepmother encouraging it?]

Like I know so many people who could reverse Jafar's magic offhand

[And there might be a small chance, a tiny sliver of hope that Will and the Red Queen could resolve the heartache between them. The odds of that happening couldn't be any greater than Cyrus and Alice finding each other again]
