[She's not really sure what you're getting at, here.]
More like if I don't scold her and tell her how messed up it is to enjoy what's happening to me there, nobody else will because the other muns she talks to about it encourage it.
Crack is more fun than this, anyway.
[She likes crack ships. She just hates this ship. No psycho killers, please.]
Okay, so. Stuff from nightmares are a big deal in my canon, right? Like, ongoing war with monster nightmares. So naturally at my last game someone got a living nightmare from another canon over there and my Mun decides I should walk right past her during the Valentine's day event. The one where Senator Cupid is running around zapping people randomly. Fun times.
That was just a one-off thing, but I think it ups the weird scale for me from the usual default there: My mun turning me into a stammering moron around the teenage otaku mob boss.
[She doesn't mean to laugh at your pain... but she is. It's harmless! You got over it, right?]
Mine's a little less amusing. Uh, so some people in my canon can control these mythical manifestations of their psyche, right? Well some of them can't control them, and it messes them up really bad. It's not usually their fault, but they become pretty reprehensible people because of it.
You know, uh... going around killing people.
Um. Well another mun has an alternate version of the protagonist from a different game who instead of... becoming the hero like I did, a Wild Card with many personas... he became a villain. His potential made him feel empty and emotionless instead of... adaptable.
Uh. Long story short I'm dating a serial killer. [A W K W A R D]
[...ignoring the story while he thinks about it for a second, to continue about his] Dee was a sweetheart, worked with a bunch of dream-themed magical girls. But that wasn't gonna work out long term for OBVIOUS reasons beyond the whole phobophage thing.
Santa Maria, that's messed up. Add another data point to badass ANIMa pilots having to either be nice people or sociopaths. Just count yourself lucky you're after Mayfield's time, because goddamn your Mun would want you all over there and there's a buncha people at my CURRENT game that still have trauma out the wazoo from that. Madre del Dios.
Uh, I could unpack that more, short version: our powers are kind of similar according to the Mun.
[Hey, there's a reason I compare your canon to Persona so often.]
You're telling me. It's even worse because he almost killed the alternate version of me that's a guy. He's there too. Ugh it's such a mess. But he's sad and interesting and tragic, and apparently I've managed to get through to him so he actually does like me, even though he's just using me.
I'd. Just rather we not.
[I'm so sorry Minako I never meant to actually ship it it's just... so satisfyingly clusterfucky.]
I'm gonna punch her lights out. [ahem, better subject] Interesting we have similar powers, then.
Currently he's at My Little Jamjar, which is one reason he doesn't like me that much.
I'll say this for my mun: I have never met a Jessica Preston. BEEN one, once, but...
Urgh. Yeah. Sad, and interesting, and tragic, alright. Your mun has doesn't have issues, they have a FREAKIN LIBRARY.
[Since no one really wants to talk about murderers (YAAAAAAAAAY~!), SUBJECT CHANGE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!]
Love is my weapon, trust is my armor. The more I trust someone - the more we trust each other - the more punishment I can take in the Dreaming if I call on them. More and better and more intimately I know them, the more power I can play with. ANIMa based weapons are about the only thing that can fight a nightmare and win, least that a teenager can learn to use before the Bliss hits.
That sounds similar in concept if dissimilar in actual practice. I can call upon guardians called Personas which gain strength from my bonds with others. The closer we are, the stronger my Personas can be. With them I, and my team, can fight things called Shadows which only appear at night during the Dark Hour. The only way to fight them is with a Persona. So nightmares and shadows might have something in common.

If you don't talk to your mun about crack ships, who will?

I guess I can count my blessings there. My mun just does weird ships.
[Making you bi is not weird, Josh.]
SHUDDUP, MUN.

I sort of like the weird ones, myself, lets me meet new people!
[IN SAFETY.]

[It's because your default relationship values are OP, Josh.]
I'll tell you 'bout the weirdest ship I got tangled in if you'll tell me about yours.

[Honey you're a protag in a SMT game, social links. etc.]
Hmm I'm not super keen on sharing this particular mistake of mine, but curiosity compels me.
You first.
God, I miss Planeocracy.

Alas, it ended

LMFAO oh no the indignity
[She nods along, thinking.]

[A similar origin, perhaps?]
Re: LMFAO oh no the indignity
Name is Joshua. Guess what my last name is.
[If you guessed lineface, it would be understandable but incorrect.]
Shadows. That's a name that means something. That's straight outta Jung.

[She scratches the side of her face, thinking.] Nightmares aren't really things I think of as fightable, either, you know.
Still, erm, shadows. They're these monsters that come out of the tower Tartarus. They attack people and eat their... souls. Their minds.

Beyond questionable.

I have yet to understand how she gains so much amusement from interfering with matters such as this.

I'd honestly prefer a straight-up horror game. Then I'd at least know I was dealing with freaky shit.
