Yes, one would expect that I would be able to remember Gallifrey's fate, even though the Doctor forgot, as I am rather less susceptible to differing timelines. One would also imagine that he might notice I am not crying out at the destruction of my own kind after his regeneration. That writer is not very good with thinking things through, is he, or with Time itself. A differing timeline can hardly exist without an external impetus on the 'original' timeline. I do appreciate that you are trying to give me, or more accurately the Bad Wolf, credit for that impetus. Perhaps you will be able to improve on this idea until it accounts for all the errors; it is only a pity your mind isn't made for grasping the concepts involved.
More importantly, did you see the Curator? Do you understand what it means? I could not bear to go to Trenzalore, and he made me look upon us despite all my protests. It terrifies me, how many of our potential futures end in pain and bloodshed. But now there is hope for us, too. I could not ask for a better end to our travels.
And the National Gallery is a rather fetching exterior. I can see what you are considering, and I will hardly stop you. But I imagine I might be too old and tired to bother interacting with anyone besides the Doctor, then. Though, if he never loses his interest in those flighty little creatures, perhaps neither will I.
