Yes... It is. Though I'm still trying to figure out what that purpose is. She's not telling me beyond 'It keeps you from being a flying taxi.' While I'm not entirely sure what a taxi is, I can't tell if it's better or worse than living alone on Earth.

Ah, a taxi is a human conveyance. In my experience, it's operated by a human who takes payment for carrying other persons from one point to another. It seems a respectable enough profession and they provide a valuable service, so I don't quite understand the stigma attached to it.
