I Just Had To Cause It's So Awesome.
Well, this is rather an unexpected pleasure. You've been playing about with me when I was so very young, why should I when I'm old be any different?
I do hope you're not expecting me to go charging off. I fear those days are long over. Though I think I wouldn't mind trying. I certainly didn't stop the last time I had this face, did I? Heh.
Go ahead then, dear fellow. I expect great things of you.

SQUEAKS.
I had to muse him, such a cool idea. Played Four before as well.
absolutely brilliant. so pleased to see him about.
—Ah, an excellent question. This daft face has been around rather a long time. Some might say too long. But I have never been of the majority, myself.
Thanks! I like playing the Doctors, any of them.
Don't fret, you've done wonders, as all of us did. Have. Will. Oh, tenses are so various in times like this, aren't they?

Like this? Personally, I'd go so far as to say their variety never really ends in a life like ours, but with every new face does come new opinion.

I have to wonder if anyone noticed.

Well chin up, my dear boy. Dark times to come but lighter ones to follow, and that's as much as I can say.

Noticed what, exactly?
no subject
The art on the wall next to the painting at the end. The roundels.
no subject
Ahhhh, yes. My own fellow hadn't thought of that. I suspect he thought you'd be my study rooms or something, but sometimes the secrets are right in front of you.

Mine tends to notice these things. A good accompany piece to sit next to the painting, if you ask me.
As for that, you know where ever you go I'm sure to be not far away.

Precisely, I was always fond of the round things.... still have no idea what they're for. Ha.
Just because I'm a Curator now doesn't mean we can't afford to have the occasional trip. We need to clean up after the young ones after all.

I thought they looked nice. [Is that a good reason? Well, it's not the only one.]
And if we happen to procure an odd thing or two for the museum in the process... Who's to complain?

eeeeeee
[Puzzled Leea is puzzled, and under the puzzlement, cautiously delighted. This man sounds like her Doctor, but even without the sight to see his face, she can tell he's not the same man she first met those many years before.]

Of course they do, and I know you know what's best, hey?
Exactly. Especially if it keeps some less pleasant things out of enemy hands. Don't want to give the Daleks or the Cybermen the keys to destroying reality again, do we. Now, perhaps it's time for some tea.

;) FYI have not heard Gallifrey yet though I know about the going blind thing
Hello Leela. Well it's the Curator now. I hope that doesn't make me seem so terribly dusty, but even Time Lords like me have to sit down eventually. Theoetically speaking.

[She smiles.] It's good to see you again too, sweetie.
do you care about spoilers? other than the going blind thing, obviously
The Curator? So you have become a Time Lord at last. [The tone is only a little mocking, and fondly so.] Why does your voice sound like it did when I first knew you? I did not think Time Lords could regenerate into a form they have already had.
Gah, sorry for the delay.
Oh likewise. I hope I don't seem too old these days, my dear.
Sorry for the delay! And not at all.
Oh I don't know about that, being a Time Lord never really agreed with me. But I did realise some time ago the running and universe saving was best saved to the younger ones if possible. Well I thought an old face would be pleasant. I would tell you how I managed it, I really would, but some secrets simply have to be kept. In any case it's wonderful to meet you again. I'm sorry about Andred and the War.

[Leela has since met other Doctors; kinder, rougher, graver, sillier, fonder of pomp and long words, but she will always have a soft spot for the first one she knew. So she still smiles, though the expression becomes both wistful and a little harder when he mentions Andred and the war. War with a lower case w, for her. Though she's heard of this Last Great Time War, she's yet to live through it.]
The war is over now. At least, the war with Pandora. There are others who wish to start another, but it is easier to fight aliens than evil spirits.

Still, I have missed our excursions together. I sometimes think about popping back to the 1890's and giving Litefoot and Jago a call, though I imagine that would raise all sorts of temporally driven questions.
no problem!
But no, love. A few more wrinkles aside, you look good for your age.
