[It's rare for him to manifest in spirit form, like the Pharaoh does so often, but he'll do it now. 'Lying' on his stomach in the air, Bakura rests his head on one ghostly hand, reaching out the other to lightly poke the demon on the nose.]

[To the spirit he just gave an even flatter look than his usual one. As annoyed as he was, Naoki wasn't sure whether the other boy could still see him or if it was something only those touching the Ring could see. He didn't want to scare Ryou by making himself look like even more of a demon than he already did. Which was the only reason Naoki didn't experiment to see if demon-spirits were flammable.]

[Hmmmm. That would be problematic. He walks a short distance away and sets the Ring down. Then he backs up a few steps, watching it. After a moment he starts slowly walking in a circle around it. Naoki's obviously deep in thought, trying to figure out what to do with the Ring. Firstly, will setting it down cause it to teleport back after a moment or two? Or will it allow him to finish examining it?]

[The spirit just watches him, boredly floating in the air nearby. It's his will that causes it to teleport, so he'll allow him to examine it... for now.]

The demonic presence in the Ring had yet to do anything too horrible that he knew of. Using the other guy was bad, but at least he hadn't grown a mutant demon arm or anything. Ask Questions. Negotiate. Only then would he attempt to destroy the Ring, if he felt that was necessary.]

A fair point. [Demons did hate weak bodies, after all. He was kind of surprised to see such a powerful demon inhabiting such a frail looking boy. But then, some of them were able to overlook that depending on the host's mental or magical attributes.]

So how exactly do you fit into this?

Beats me. I've been stuck in this thing for the last three thousand years. Where it goes, I go. Think of me as the genie in the lamp. Only I punish people who harm my 'master' rather than granting their wishes.
