Unfortunately, the mundanes are rather loathe to listen to our needs and desires. They're far more interested in what they want to do, which is not usually in line with what we want.

Certainly they have far better things to do, though, don't they? Or at least busy themselves with something decidedly more charitable.

Of course they could, but they choose not to. That's really rather dreadful isn't it?

Not yet. She wishes to learn more about my life before she chooses such a place for me. I'd rather she just let me be.

She has, or so she thinks, and she is quite as stubborn as I so I may unable to persuade her otherwise. Whitechapel Road - I have been informed by her that your mundane knows of it. She seems to be inclined to think it shall suit me.

Yes... my mundane is thinking of sending me to a future version of New York. Although she says it's also an alternate version of New York. I'm not quite sure how that works.

I haven't any idea how most of this works, if I must be completely honest. And many of the places my mundane favors are hardly desirable. Although, I must admit, there is something exciting about a world so different from our own.

The world has to have changed. Surely in time the world has progressed. Without the hope of evolution I don't particularly see the point of it all.

Perhaps, I can't say I would know. I have always been much more interested than the past than the future.

I do. I find them utterly fascinating. My father doesn't think reading the newspaper or stories of war is suitable for a woman, but I don't see the harm in being educated in all manners of the world.

I agree! Though Papa tries to keep the newspapers from my sisters and I as well.

I have been forced to sneak around to read them or beg my brother-in-law to tell me everything he has read. Mama has caught me on occasion, I think my disobedience frustrates her so.
