While you have a valid point, I meant the on-a-spaceship type of space. At least on a planet you have air and sky - amongst many other things - to distract you from the fact that you're on a rock in space.
If I felt like being pedantic, I'd point out there is a lot of very fascinating stuff in space even by the 'not on a celestial body' defintion, and look, I did that anyway, pretend I didn't.
But I will say that whilst spaceships do have such a lot of distractions too, you're right that you can't forget you're in space with them.
Let's just say I'm not very space-y, all in all, regardless of how fascinating it may be. I like keeping my feet on the ground - preferably the kind of ground that has sidewalks.
Nothing wrong with that. Down to... What planet are humans from again? Earth? [Although he pronounces that as 'ee-uth'.] Down to ee-uth can be just as exciting as anything.
There is very little more satisfying than solving an incredibly mundane complication in your life. Successful cleaning of a house from top to bottom is as grand a victory as any battle.
That would be a resounding no. [ and oh please let me have understood this reference correctly ] It's hard to miss anything that involves moon bases named after dietary lifestyle choices, if you ask me.
Contrary to popular opinion, I do, in fact, have working knowledge of the word's definition as listed in the OED.
Also — honey — this? This is what your dreams are comprised of? I mean, you can get all— [ insert airquotes ] —sexy librarian sometimes, but this is excessive.
[ Without missing a beat (and, remarkably, without losing even a whit of sincerity): ] I dunno, honey, I'm pretty sure you're what everyone looks for in a girlfriend.
It doesn't exactly make me feel better, either, but you tried. [ the idea of being missed isn't really a nice one in this case, whether it's by space or tony. especially not tony. ] I something space, but the right word's not "miss".
There's nothing wrong with space- [ liar, you think there's plenty wrong with space, pep ]- I'm sure it's the best place to be for some, but I like to stay boringly Earth-bound, personally.
Well I suppose there is plenty to do on Earth, my dear, but I enjoy the opportunity to expand and explore amongst the stars. [In an alarming unpredictable space ship shaped like a police box.] Still, if you could go anywhere you wished, where might that be, hmmmm?
Indeed! Well there is quite a lot of places to see, so I shouldn't be too surprised my dear. Forgive me for the lack of introductions, I am the Doctor.

I'm sorry, I don't follow.

That's what's on the box, right? Tranquility: it isn't a choice, it's a lifestyle. No, scratch that, it's really not a choice and that's about it.

And there I thought my at-home lifestyle was more than enough to handle. Trust space to always take everything up a notch. Or ten.

Good. Because I don't flatter lightly.

Am not. Is it so hard to believe that was genuine? Besides, I'm not sure "sexy librarian" is what evil geniuses look for in girlfriends.
