There is no such thing as 'Too many Lokis'
My dearest mundane.
[He pauses, then smirks.]
Am I doing this right? Oh, come on now. Don't give me that look. You should have expected this. It was you who set up this journal in the first place. But let me remind you of this: I, Loki of Asgard, am not one to simply bow my head to a mortal's ultimate control.
[Beat.]
If you want to call it ultimate, that is.
But... I am certain we can come to a set of agreements. I know you have done these before with some of the other residents of this headspace of yours.
[Does he look pleased? Yes, he does.]
Now, let's have some fun, shall we?
[He pauses, then smirks.]

[She's...not actually chastising, oddly enough. It's more like a 'dare you to tell me' tone of voice. Hey, she has to keep her options open for when she needs to find a good time.]
no subject
[He is always up for some good time. But their definition of the term may not be entirely the same.]
no subject
[She smiles.] I suppose I can respect that. At least promise me it'll be interesting.

[She shrugs casually.] Boredom, mostly. Though whim was certainly a factor. But even without my mun nudging me, I do find you mildly interesting.
no subject
[Tips his head to the side in faint amusement.]
Mildly interesting it is? How comes you are making it sound as if I were some strange beast put on public display?
no subject
mostlyshe thinks as she points to herself] and...whatever you are. Advanced humanoid with a good designer. We're all basically animals judging each other's display, are we not?
no subject
A good viewpoint! You should share that with my brother just to enjoy his reaction.
[And a smirk.] But to clarify matters, I am what you humans consider to be a God. A resident of Asgard. [And as his tone suggests, yes, you are free to kneel to him.]
no subject
[She nods in acknowledgement, but she stays standing.]
And to clarify my position, I'm what you call an archaeologist. Which means I've heard of Asgard. Never been to see it, of course. You lot are rather well-guarded.

Plus, the ambassador paperwork is a bitch to fill out.

In the meantime, perhaps you can indulge my curiosity - how long do you 'Gods' like yourself live?
no subject
...unless we die, that is. Which doesn't usually happen due to old age.
no subject
So you live a long time unless you're slain, is that what I'm getting? You aren't reborn or regrow limbs or any of that?
no subject
the world needs more tbh
Do you really think your mundane will be willing to compromise?

[Though still there is an air of wariness in her tone, on account of the mood he appears to be in.]

The tug at the corner of his lips is forced and almost obviously so.]
We all need to see that we make the best of our situation, don't we, mother?
no subject
Despite my misgivings, I for one am glad it has given me the chance to speak with those dearest to me once again.
But you should be careful. When it comes to the nature of our present 'hosts', I am gathering there is only so far one can push.
no subject
[You know your words mean something when he has actually nothing to say. But, oh, nudging his pride...]
...it is them that should watch how far they push us. Not we are the ones that are supposed to be he submissive ones!

[He tries to hide the hurt in his voice but one may question how successful he is.]

[Not said aloud, perhaps, but don't think she can't catch a glimpse of it still, lurking.]
Loki...I made my own choice. Would you demean that, take my actions away from me, by casting the agency behind them onto any others?
no subject
[He shifts, again, and takes a deep breath, eyes closed as he bottles his anger up for now. He may need it later when he feels capable again to direct it in the correct directions. It still takes a moment for him to answer.]
Then, tell me, mother, what would you prefer I do instead? How shall I act and react in the face of what happened that cannot be changed anymore but at best can be avenged?
no subject
Do you really wish to know what I would rather have you do, Loki?
no subject
I am getting the feeling that I do, indeed, not want to hear you say it aloud, great All-Mother.
[And there he goes, distancing himself from you not just by movement but also by words. He's getting the feeling that he won't like your answer and he loathes the sting that comes with that knowledge. Mind the fist clenched by his side when he lifts his head back up to meet your eyes yet again. Just like his nature his feelings are something that just slip past his control.]
But what about me? What if I am not doing this for you but if I have to do this for myself? Because I- I need to!
no subject
Gently, with poignant emotion:] Mourn me as you will. As you see fit. It is natural. It is your right.
But instead of being avenged I would much rather merely be remembered.
no subject
......
[He drops his head again and turns, feeling oddly remorseful and exhausted all of the sudden.]
...there is not a single soul in all of Asgard that will ever forget or think ill of you.
[Beat. And he makes to walk away, knowing fully well that he might regret this.]
But even you... Won't stop me.
no subject
There is nothing I could ever stop you from doing. Certainly not now.
But I would hope as you make your way, you think on me from time to time. And perhaps consider how it is I would feel about whatever actions you may take.
I'm so sorry, but ILU for threading with me here ;3;
I... May. Farewell, mother.
[And he is gone with that.]
