I dare not say twas the better option, but to be wed to some elf like prince could have been worse in many ways. Ways I dare not think of nor discuss.

There is some comfort in having my kin here, though it would be better if we were still with the rest of the company. There is no time to chase dragons about in this place, Erebor waits and Durin's day grows closer still. Though you care little for our troubles don't you?

Not again. I was taken from the carrock after our escape from Azog.

Kili was taken there as well, but sometime before myself... we've been told the dragons saved us, brought us to these havens to keep us safe. [He'll all but roll his eyes.]

Lies, nothing but lies to keep us from questioning their true purpose.

At least Kili is with you. Maybe it's better to say that at least you are with him.

I'm not so sure how likely dragons are to save people though-- Did you have to offer them gold?

I would rather our company were not separated at all. We've no idea what has become of the others, of Gandalf or you little burglar. Strange though how Kili was taken before me, but I did see the dragon take him.

There was nothing offered to them, they did this of their own accord.

[Bilbo doesn't like this idea. He can only imagine how Kili is without his brother too.]

[He looks less than impressed. Damn scribes ruining everything! Bilbo would be better off with the others, not in this dragon infested mess.

Then again how was it much better? They were dragging him across Middle Earth to shove him into Erebor to deal with a dragon. One the dwarves of Erebor themselves could not handle back in the day.

These scribes are fools. They do not understand what they do, or they do not care.
