How many errands have you sent me on that involve dealing with other sparks? How many have you had to drop an airship on because they were being stupid and reckless?
[He actually hadn't been implicating Klaus at all, but Gil and words don't usually come together very well.]
You'll forgive me for not being keen on being dropped into another world driven by the motives of insane people, regardless of my grooming. At least at home it could be kept in check.
[Not bitter. Of course the endless tests had prepared him for the unpredictable. A preference for an environment where he doesn't have to be constantly on his toes is just weak and silly.]
Oh, you weren't... she didn't tell you? I cannot say I blame her...
Yes. For a short time, you will lose your Spark. It may come back gradually, as it did for me, or all at once, as seems to have been the case for your Lady Heterodyne.
True. But mundanes believe that all of us 'muses' require it.
I wish you the best in Mayfield, sir. I was there a few months before my mundane pulled me out of it to send me somewhere else. It was...an experience, to say the least.
It would not be difficult to approach the resistance in Mayfield. I believe they keep an eye out for newcomers to offer assistance. And while Mayfield isn't the best of places for family reunions, I find that most people find the place much more tolerable with a familiar face around.
Yes. Reality in Mayfield, along with the laws of physics and biology, can be warped in any way the captors choose. And they have often chosen to make life as difficult as possible for the residents there.
I'm supposed to be the heir to his empire. He currently trusts me with almost nothing; I have to go behind his back to get anything done. It's maddening.

[YOU'RE NOT AT THE SAME CANON POINT THAT HE IS THIS IS... AWKWARD...]
Unfortunately I believe the muns are already set on it.

This is the problem with the Wulfenbach family. None of them can do the words good.]
Believe me, if I could drop an airship on my mundane, I would. Unfortunately that is a little beyond my abilities at the moment.
I assure you, Mayfield is nothing you cannot handle, once you understand how to approach it.

We'll see when I get there.

[Especially since Gil doesn't spent nearly as much time Sparking as Klaus does, to his knowledge.]

[Not. Happy.]

[Oh man, tone down the enthusiasm. Too obvious.]

The mun said something about being turned mindless. Is that what happened?
[It couldn't have. She's too strong for that.]

[It's sad. They were making such progress.]
Higgs, Zeetha and Bang as well. And... ah... you, at one point, though you may not remember. I have been the only constant.
[NOT MENTIONING LUCREZIA...]

I don't remember, no. She says I wouldn't... that's not a comforting thought.
