Matilda the Musical

I've been wondering...

You know, well, like how, if I see grass, and say it's green? How do I know that the green I think about is the green you think about? And how if, if I can't know what you're thinking, how can you know what I'm thinking?

You can't, can you? What I think and what you think I think could be two completely different things, couldn't they? I might be thinking about - well, perhaps say a parrot, with red wings and a blue crest. But how do you know if I am thinking of crimson or scarlet or brick? And what if the crimson I am thinking of is different to the crimson you're thinking of?

And if you can't even tell me that the crimson we're thinking of is the same crimson at all, how can you be voicing my thoughts? How can you know what I'm thinking, right now? You can't, can you?

So why are you still typing? I just want you to be QUIET!

That is quite a troublesome thought, young miss.

Is everything alright?

*sits down, pulling his cape around so that he doesn't sit on it*

Aa, I have. Though I have been with my mun for nearly ten years now. We are well beyond such concerns.

I don't believe I have ever figured out the answer, but I know her as well as she knows me, if not better. It can be a mutual thing.

It sounds like your headspace is quite noisier than mine, little miss. Do you hear other voices besides your mun? *concerned*

*chuckles* I see. You remind me of a friend of mine. He could never much stand his mun either. He was never satisfied unless he had some mystery to puzzle over. I've never seen him relax.

Do you have any hobbies that allow you to get away for awhile?

A lover of books! No wonder your thoughts are so immense. I'm afraid I usually don't have the patience to sit and read for long periods of time, but I enjoy it when I do.

...you aren't an extreme fan of Sherlock Holmes are you?

[Thank GOD, she's sane. *relief*] Oh! Ooinaru Isan! He's popular in Japan. Some of his works are really difficult to read, though. They don't always translate well. I'm impressed, Little Miss. I mostly read the news, though if you know of any books about a handsome heroic thief that saves the world I could certainly be convinced.
