I don't blame you! The less horror, the better. The place I'm stuck in... It can get scary, sometimes. But a lot of the scariness comes from the war that goes on outside the village we're stuck in. And it's also scary that there's scientists who control this village.
But I guess we're lucky, too. That only some of us have to deal with the war and it's only sometimes. And a lot of the times the scientists will do experiments that can be silly instead of scary. And aside from that... leaving here in this village, in Luceti? It can be peaceful, and it's full of nice people.
Wars are awful. I don't know what scientists are, but that sounds...bad.
I know that not all humans and things are bad now, but I don't want to meet too many. There might be nice ones, but then the bad ones might try to trick you into thinking they're nice too.
It is kind of bad. There are a few times when they made us think we were different people. But other times, the experiments they do to the village are just weird or silly. Like one time, last Christmas, they sent us silly little elves to follow us and see if we were being nice.
I understand. You're... like a spirit, right? I've known spirits, and I know that they could have troubles with humans sometimes. It's not hard to keep to hide yourself from others around here, but I do know that if you could be friends with me, I'd help you find other people to trust. Truthfully, there are some bad people living in the village, or people who used to be bad... but even they don't really do bad things around here. I guess being stuck here's kinda like a peace treaty sometimes!
You can learn about other worlds, a lot of the time, since the beings there come from lots of different ones. You can learn about the place you're in too. There's a Mist in the one I'm in that might be eating worlds, and we're trying to learn about it. We haven't had much luck with it yet...
It was because of that Christmas holiday. At least we managed to get some neat gifts out of it all.
A... faerie? I see... I never met one before, but I heard about them here. It does sound kinda spirit-y! But if you don't wanna be called a spirit, that's fine! I'm sorry if you wouldn't enjoy it here. [But apps are open until the end of the 7th!]
We don't know. It has things called Strangelings too. The Mist makes you afraid, and it makes old aches come back...
[Aisling shakes her head a bit, trying to get back on track.] But it's a school, too! Classes for learning. And there's a library with many books, and they're supposed to have everything in them.
I'm not really sure what Christ is, but Christmas is a little after winter solstice! It's a day when this guy named Santa rewards good kids with presents, so the elves are his helpers!
Okay, as long as it doesn't bother you!
I... You may have a point there. We do have a really big forest at least!
Yes! That's what an Academy is. And there'll be more to learn soon, they're taking people in from different worlds right now. At least until the 7th. [hint hint]
I don't know how it's helping fight off the Mist, though...
A man who died to make people not suffer forever, I think. [She doesn't really get it, but she knows that at least. Having a Christian monk-in-training as a best friend does that.]
A forest? [That gets her attention. All she has at the Academy is the gardens.] Does it have many people in it?
Oh. That- that sounds like a very noble thing. [While he's just a fantasy monk who is part of a recincarnation cycle of his own world's counterpart to a messiah.]
Not really! I mean... I don't think anyone lives in the forest, and there's a lot of it surrounding the village. People still like to take walks through it and explore it. [There used to be the wolf god Moro around to claim the forest as her domain and protect it, but she sadly is now long gone.]
...I would rather live there than in gardens. Though I wouldn't be happy with people trespassing through it. Do you know what animals live there? ...Like wolves?
I have some control. You have dwelled within my mind's eye. Being a part of my player's mind is no different. Only that I am not the one that controls. And yet that knowledge is what grants me power.
My player is also unsure. With what I am and where I come, they may decide that my presence would threaten the antagonist they most carefully constructed.
