If you wish to wield the power of the Dark One, you do know it takes quite a bit more effort than that, dearie. A curious venture you are on, and a courageous one at that, but at least show that you deserve it. I'm not looking to take on any new students, and frankly- I don't think you have what it takes.
In the mean time, there are many worlds out there-- why not choose one for me to occupy while I continue my search? If you make it a good one, I'm willing to cut you a deal.

Where would you go?
[The 'Can I go with you?' is left unasked. It's up to him, she knows. She hopes he's not about to leave her behind any time soon.]

[He hears her tone, and for now... he chooses to deal with the question of whether or not Belle should go with him later. Right now, he looks at her with a slight grin]
Wherever this bothersome Mun takes me, since I doubt I will have much choice in the matter. While I'm sure I wont find exactly what I am looking for in my travels, at least I can entertain. And, you know... offer unfortunate beings a way around their troubles.
[For a price, of course.]

Will there be magic?
[She hopes not. He doesn't need it, even if he thought so.]

[A double edged sword of a question, perhaps. He gets serious a moment, knowing what her expression was all about. Reluctantly, he continues the conversation.]
I need magic, Belle.

If you find your son, maybe you won't need it. You can- you can both start over.
[How frustrating it is, trying to convince him he doesn't need something he uses as a crutch more than his cane.]

The question was... once he had it again, could he give it up? He reaches to her, tucking her hair behind her ear and pressed his lips against her forehead as if to attempt to give her comfort.]
You needn't trouble yourself with this, my dear.
[He looked into her eyes, shaking his head slightly.]
But where I go... I don't want to imagine going without you.
[Unless he did in fact find his boy. He knew it was something he had to go alone.]

What if I want to? Trouble myself. [A small quip, a smile added onto it. She searches his gaze, almost as if she can draw strength from it.]
We won't get separated again.
[Regina couldn't keep them apart, neither could Mundanes. She hoped.]

I can't help but feel like you want to keep an eye on me, in hopes that I won't cause any damage.
[He pulled back with a grin]
The damage that may be dealt is surely not going to be damage that isn't deserved.

Do I have to? I think you know how to contain yourself. You may act the Dark One but I know there's good in you. I promise you, no one needs you causing them any damage.
[Though heaven forbid someone cross him. She couldn't sate that fiery vengeance in him every time.]

Your faith astounds me.

[And it's little moments like this, where his words and his touch are gentle enough to make her heart skip a beat, that she really does believe it. Belief, to her, was a powerful thing. More powerful than any other kind of magic.]

[The more she reminds him of this 'goodness', the more he wanted to believe it. Still, he didn't truly regret the wicked things he had done in the past-- because that wickedness led him to her.]
Thank you. For not letting me forget it.

[She hates that he doubts that he can be good all on his own. He doesn't need her to convince him. She knows it's in there.]
You don't need me to remind you. I wish you could see it's already there. You have changed.
[Her hand rests over his heart then. If she were anyone else - like Regina for instance - that hand would probably have been ripped off.]
If anything, you don't forget. I think you just don't realize how aware of yourself you are.
[He just didn't want to be alone anymore. That much she always saw in him.]
