If it isn't... maybe it's better this way.  No matter what you headcanon, I'm not an exhibitionist and we both know Magnus has problems sharing.

We've wondered about how some of those things will be resolved, but things like Simon being turned into a rat... I think the new way they introduced what will happen works better for the movie.

I think what happened with Hodge was better in a way. [There's a trace of sadness in his voice and some of the frustration he's felt since his mundane read that book.] It's better than what happened to him in the other canon.

We don't know what they did to him while he was at the hotel. [It's not something he wants Clary to think about, but they don't know what details might come out later or what ones were taken out that might be released later.]

We should have gave him holy water when we got back to the Institute.

We don't know that Hodge died. He may have been taken to Alicante. Technically, they didn't say if I survived. I think you having the Cup is more of a problem.

How about the fact that we destroyed the portal with Valentine in it? How will they explain that? There's too much for them to fix. The stories are going to be completely different. I'm not sure who was on that screen, but it wasn't me.

There's too many things we don't know to be certain of how much they'll have to change. Valentine could have escaped somehow. Don't villains usually get away despite impossible situations? [That's what always happens in the comics that Magnus pretends aren't hidden under his bed.]

I'm hoping that the stories are different. Maybe things will go better for us all in them.

[This Alec may have more confidence, but Clary is still someone he's not sure of, afraid that she might hate him for his earlier jealousy.]

She was different, but I didn't mind her. I thought maybe we could be civil to each other at least.

[Something he hopes can happen since he doesn't want Jace to be caught in the middle.]

[Golden eyes search Alec's face a moment before lowering them to watch his fingers pick at the cuff of his shirt.]

He doesn't always wear it.

[Alec pauses a beat and then adds.]

[Catching his boyfriend's hand, he laces his fingers between Magnus'.]

He'll try to murder us in our sleep if you turn him into a duck. [Brushing his thumb along the side of Magnus' hand, he waits for the elder to look up before speaking again.]

[His fingers instantly curl into Alec's on reflex while taking a step closer.]

I'm sure he's considered this even without my turning him into a water fowl. Well.. at least in my case. [Lifting his eyes, he met Alec's and held his eyes. Smiling vaguely, he tipped his head and kissed his forehead then the bridge of his nose.]

Maybe she does... we can even tie a pink bow around his neck and leave him in a basket full of Cadbury eyes for her.

Alex, no. Say it isn't so! If he's talked you into wearing stripper glitter, I'll have words with him. Strong words.

[Jace might be joking, but Alec isn't even if it takes him a few seconds to figure out the 'stripper glitter'. Which almost causes his temper to slip again.]

[He might allow Magnus to play with his wardrobe, but there's some lines Alec won't cross.]
