I remember a girl I met at the Academy. Allergic to Retinox-Olhyron, so she had to wear corrective glasses for her vision. Still, devastatingly gorgeous, but it mostly had to do with her confidence, I think.

I tried for months to ask her out, but by the time I got up the nerve, it was too late: I was moving on to Starfleet Command School as a commissioned officer, and she went on to become a Yeoman specializing in stellar cartography and subspatial anomalies. At that point, it would have been fraternizing, so there went that opportunity.
