possible spoilers for the walking dead game in comments!

Carley's on her way?

[ Okay hi, yes, this is something he had never even imagined might be possible. He's not sure how he feels about it, either. Floored? Thrilled? How is he supposed to feel? ]

Just gotta find a way to make sure Ben keeps his mouth shut. We can't have him spilling everything right out of the gate to her and Molly.

.. this is going to be a disaster.

She sure is.

And it won't be that bad, Lee. Have a little faith.

But, having Carley there will help, right? The more there, the more people to take care of you and stick together and help each other.

I think you're just over-reacting. Having more friends doesn't count as a 'disaster', Lee.

[And yup, he gets that look of hers.]

Dude, I'm right here. Could you at least diss me subtlety?

I can talk around it.

Probably.

[Of course. Because the eight year old is too cute to get mad at right?]

Well, if you are there, it's not that surprising the others might come too, is it? Even if you're not expecting it, it's still a nice surprise, like on your birthday!

[personal profile] littlesurvivor 2013-08-24 08:05 am (UTC)(link)
Even better?

[She can't help but be a little glad at that at least though. Knowing Lee wouldn't be alone.]
indirectcause: (And maybe then you'll hear)

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

It should be. More friends mean more people to help you and help keep you safe.

And you shouldn't be so worried about Ben. He's not that bad, really.

[But then, Clem is eight and befriends pretty much everyone so. As much as she likes being involved and getting her say, she is aware the adults tend to get the last word. See more of the bigger picture as it were, as clever and perceptive as she is for her age.]
