[ It's quite unusual for someone as wise as Celeborn to be stunned to silence but he was. He never expected to see the fifth son of Fëanor amongst the many refugees who've been cast out of Middle Earth in favor of this strange realm.

However, as Celeborn has come to realize, no one is immune to such oddities as long as the muns have their way. ]

Mercy is often given freely and not by demand.

[ Celebrimbor seems mildly surprised to see Celeborn here and addressing him, but the surprise quickly fades into disgruntlement, and he crosses his arms, shrugging and frowning again. ]

Consider it a request, then. If I am to die, then I would rather die than be dragged back and thrust into a new world.

[ It's mostly that he doesn't want to go straight from Sauron's tender mercies to somewhere else without rest. ]

[ That look of surprise upon his face faded once Celebrimbor greeted with disdain. He eyed the other with an impassive gaze and folded his hands neatly before him in contrast to Celebrimbor's haughty stance.

He wasn't very fond of this particular elf and for good reason, but no one would be the wiser considering Celeborn never wore his emotions. ]

No one can choose the destiny that greets them, no matter how malevolent or cruel.

[ Celebrimbor is well aware that Celeborn likely doesn't think too highly of him, but most of the time - like now - he can't quite bring himself to care, and Celeborn's words only set him further on edge.

He rolls his eyes. ]

Yes, yes - I've heard enough about doom and destiny already without getting another lecture now. Besides I am not really sure this concerns you unless you're thinking of trying to convince my dear mun one way or the other. Or would you prefer to see me show up somewhere still impaled on a flag poll?
