[ The irony of this isn't lost on him. He hated the very idea of leading a Dark Guild or having their members worship him, and now Mavis wants him being the First Mate onboard a ship full of Fairy Tail members. ]

If I agree to this, I don't want them to think of me as any kind of authority figure. The Council, let alone other senior members of Fairy Tail, might not approve.

I've tried for four centuries to find a way to 'make it work.' If I haven't found it by now, it doesn't exist.
