Hey. Hey, muuuun. Let's play in a gaaaame.
See, I can do that annoying human thing, too. Now, as for my demands, they're quite simple. I simply wish to be placed in one of these games. A nice vacation, really, from always fighting dear Wisteria. She's become quite a hassle with her brainless army, you know, and poor me without a soul weapon at this moment! No, no, it won't do at all!
[He laughs giddly before idly looking at his claws.]
Come on, come on! Let's see what kind of corruptions lie in these places. I want to see, I want to see!

Corruptions?
[From context he'd guess some sort of creature, but on the other hand...]

[He'll laugh a bit, then smirk.]
Mm~ I wonder what kind of weapon you would forge~

...
I have no need to forge a weapon. I already have all the equipment I require. [Welcome to the ballad of 'without context he'll take nearly everything you say literally,' try not to let it dishearten you. He can at least catch, say, sarcasm some of the time.]

[He'll snicker then, tilting his head slightly.]
And silly. Not for you--for me. I take the souls of people and, with permission, I extract it in the form of a weapon. It causes no harm unless the weapon breaks, of course, though they, ah... Feel a little empty.

[Aw man, if there are Witches in Dear Mun, she's gonna pitch such a fit...]
no subject
[...He seems so giddy about it oops.]
no subject
What happens if it breaks?
...why would they feel empty? [He's not entirely certain on the definition of a soul, either. He's got the words, but they don't mean anything to him. Some people think it's the source of PSI, but then they also say everyone has one, and not everyone has PSI.]

[Because a soul is life. It's what makes them them.]
To put it frankly, a soul is you. So of course you'd feel empty if I took it out for a little while.

Who gives permission? [Sure, people can die on their own, but...] Someone biological has far more failsafes to keep from dying on their own than a weapon has to keep from breaking. Why would they risk it? [There has to be quite some incentive.]
...
I don't understand. How can you take me out of... me?
no subject
[...At least he's pleasant to chat with despite the claws and the teeth?]
no subject
[Which is why he's usually so choosy. He can't afford them breaking--both because it's unfair to who he's borrowing from and because it could get him eaten.]
no subject
...
You can tell whether it will break before taking it out? [Otherwise it still sounds like too much of a risk, one he can't understand most people taking.]
no subject
[And then he'll chuckle before sweeping a bow.]
the durability and strength of a weapon is based on their potential to be corrupted or purified. Thus, the greater the potential, the greater the weapon! Of course I can sense it.
no subject
...
What do you sense from me? [Not that he expects much if the other says chimeras don't have a soul.]
