Ah, I see -- that's all right, my own mun isn't doing very well on the financial front herself. Out of work, you see. She had just enough to donate to that Kickstarter. The ones he did back look very interesting, though -- and if he ever does get some spare money, there's still a Paypal store available, apparently. . .

*chuckling at the antics* We'll see. It can be pretty hard to tell if a mun will ever mature.

He's on disability, but living with his parents (and buying a lot of their groceries and petrol) cuts down considerably on his expenses. Which is how he thought he could afford to buy in at... *checks the pages* ...the "Exalted Scholar of All Creation" and "A Sovereign Sponsor" levels.

Plus the cloth map, don't forget. That sort of thing adds up, especially when one combines it with paying for Mother's Day and Father's Day dinners, plus two full refills of the gas tank on a family vacation.

*looks at the paypal store* ...I swear I don't mean this personally, but I must've been feeling guilty about missing some other KS. Or just not feeling like I wanted to pay that much for the things that interested me. Still and all, the store should be around in September when I hope I will be feeling it, and when it hopefully won't interfere with the next KS that's piqued my interest.

And to give you an idea of how immature he is for his age: the first edition of that game was published during his community-college years. *bî-da!*

Oh, I see. Mine's living with her parents too, but while her expenses are low, so's her available money in the bank. *shrug* She got herself the digital versions of both the shorts and the art book when they come out, because she really wanted the art book, but there was no way she could afford a physical copy. (Makes me wish my game had gotten an art book. . .)

It's fine, really. You and yours should pay for the things that interest you. There's probably something hypocritical about me wishing for people to donate when I'm never going to be updated to "Otherlands," but. . . *shrug*

Heh -- well, I'm someone who still sleeps with a stuffed toy from her childhood. Whatever makes him happy.

Apart from the two he went overboard on, he usually donates at the lowest level that gives him a physical reward. He really should go back to that.

[I know, but the dice are so tempting. And the Bartender's Screen. And the beer mug. At least I'm not going for the limited edition. Nor, I expect, will I end up donating to Barbarians of Heavy Metal, even though it looks like my donation would be refunded.]

Thank Awashima for small favors. And it's fine to want people to support your author, whether you're getting updated or not. Heibon-kun paid for the DVD of my canon not long after it came out, and it took him four years to update me.

[Well, more like revise hir to fit with what I learned once somebody did a translation of hir canon; you might remember hir worrying about that at the time. And all my childhood stuffed toys and action figures got unceremoniously given away some time in my teen years, but I do have other things I've kept from that time.]

Yes, well, in our case that would have been an autographed copy of the DVD at $50 -- the artbook's physical version was too expensive, and she really did want that. I suppose one can't blame your mun for wanting neat things, though. I'm sure he'll learn -- and he already seems to be showing some restraint in the things he's funding.

Heh, I see. In my case, it's simply that I have too much history as just a first-game muse. My headcanon's too contradictory to the next-game's canon for any sort of update to work. Though I suspect if she finds a way, I'll be getting my "Madness Returns" weapons.

((And the Otherlands armor, because the armor is freaking awesome and something we both want. And that's too bad -- I've still got a bunch of my stuff. Though I suspect I may be more attached to the things I've gotten in my late teens/early twenties.))

Yeah, he's learning. The question is whether the lesson will stick. Given that he's switched from using his bank debit card to his credit cards for these purchases, I'm not so sure.

Yeah yeah, right right. Baby steps, I guess. 9_9 And he only had one piece of headcanon he preferred to actual canon, but it was big enough that the version of me that sticks to that headcanon is still a separate character. Not that I'm complaining too hard; six months' hard labor for technically-underage sex is, well, see icon keywords.

I -- see. *She nods a few times.* My mun would probably just make another more canon-compliant Alice herself if she ever felt a particular urge that way. She even had a name once: fetchquestalice. Because the A:MR version of me seemed to go on a lot at the very beginning of her game, at least.
