We could all do a lot worse it seems. [ Clint pulls out a lighter, something he keeps on his person for other reasons than smoking, and holds it close to her cigarette. Once the tip is ignited and burning, he returns it to his pocket. ]

[What a gentleman. Her eyes are kind and her smile welcoming when she takes a drag, observing him, eyes lowering for a moment to take in his figure.]

Could we?

[She's not just anyone. And she doesn't think she can be compared that way.]

[ Clint's mouth lifts in a hint of a smile. ] I think so. At least you haven't been shipped off anywhere.

[She exhales.]

Luckily that's not in the cards for me. Which I should be happy about considering all the crazy and strange places they could send us to.

That is lucky.

[But she's not interested in staying dead.]

[bartonclint]

[ Clint crossed his arms as he regarded her, shrugging his shoulders. ] There are other worlds, different dimensions. I guess you can go to outer space, or dystopian style planets. Sky's the limit as they say.

[Her smile stretches. Nothing but charm.]

You know - I've always been a fan of that expression. Sky's the limit.

[ Clint raised a brow at that. ] Oh yeah? You must be an ambitious woman then.

I've always been taught to get what I want.

And how has that worked out for you so far?

[detriments]

[Well. The smile doesn't go anywhere, but there is something visibly bitter in her eyes when she takes another drag. There is also an attempt to conceal it.]

I worked in Berlin. They were going to move me to New York.
