Planning on
dragonhaven very soon, now that OCs are allowed!
[Dear mun, this is the look of a girl who really doesn't like what you're thinking.]
You...you're serious about this, aren't you? There's no way that it could end well for anyone involved, not for me, a-and not for anyone I might meet there, especially not at this time of year!
Couldn't you send one of the girls from that other universe instead?

Not a fan of spring?
no subject
Early spring, no. It's...still too cold.
no subject
Why can't you stay inside then, silly not-beorc?
no subject
I...I want to, but someone won't let me. [And she's above threatening to hug her mun, and coming from her, that actually would be a legitimate threat.]
no subject
cats are warm]Sounds like a case for a duel to me.
[Fisticuffs solve everything.]
no subject
they are until she touches them :<]I'm not really sure if that would be such a good idea!
[That came out a little more forcefully than intended. To be fair, though, she reeeeeally doesn't want to have to go punching frostbite into anybody.]
no subject
She shrugs instead.]
That's how we solve problems, not-beorc.
[Though one of Raisa's ears flick back anyway.]
no subject
O-oh, no. Not here, not here...
no subject
"This time of the year," huh? What's the matter? Not a fan of the cold?
—Well, I can't say I am either, so it's not like I'm getting down on you for that! [As if to punctuate her point, she draws her cloak around herself a little tighter.] But it's not like winter lasts forever. Surely you can tough it out for just a couple of weeks?
no subject
I could try to tolerate it to some extent, but...if it starts getting really bad...
no subject
Anyway, maybe getting the worst of it out of the way first will be for the best! And I'm sure your mun won't let you die or anything like that. There wouldn't be much point to sending you there if they did, would there?
I miss having edit buttons already,
No, there wouldn't...but maybe I'll just get lucky and he'll change his mind about this whole idea for some reason or another; he's been really indecisive as of late.
I know that feeling.
[...She's picked up on the fact that Nina seems to have more to worry about than winding up with a runny nose and a cough, but it's not her style to let as much on. So, with her admonishment delivered, she grins again.]
Depending on the fickle whims of chance to solve your problems, huh? Wawawa~. Normally, I wouldn't approve of that either, but I guess in a situation like this there's not much else you can do!
no subject
Trying to make him reconsider wouldn't do anything, nor would it actually be possible to begin with... I mean, I can't exactly try to hug him from here. [Coming from her? That could actually be a legit threat.]
no subject
Hm... I don't normally condone the use of threats, either. They just seem so brutish and inelegant! In a case where your well-being is on the line, though, I guess I could make an exception to the usual rule.
...Not that it matters in the end, I suppose! Like you said, it's not a feasible option either way. Wa, oh well~.
no subject
Something the ma--
[--aaaand promptly flatten back to her head again as she snorts violently, almost sneezing.]
Ashera's tits you smell weird now!
[LAGUZ HAVE NO WORD FOR ANTIFREEZE but if they did she would probably be describing this new smell that way. But they don't, so she doesn't.
This is a completely unexpected new thing and Raisa is not sure if she likes this new thing.
She probably wouldn't have reacted quite so strongly if she had seen this coming.]
no subject
To that end, she scrambles backward a bit while starting to stammer:] G-get back get back get back get back get back! [She doesn't think to try to explain what could be wrong; for all she could know there might not be time to do so.]
no subject
The cat has the same ears and tail that Raisa did, so that at least explained the animal bits somewhat. And her eyes were that same teal-blue color.]
...problem?
[Oh, and she talked.
If she still had eyebrows, they would be pretty severely quirked right now. Her ears were doing a decent job at substituting; one perked up, the other turned to the side.]
1/2
TAKE THREE/2
[Well, that doesn't explain what exactly is happening, though it does explain the cause.]
no subject
...then she relaxes out of that posture with a snort.]
Kitten.
[The big cat pads over with a calm kind of confidence even though she's not as tall as this not-beorc--and headbutts her midsection to make her fall over.
Laguz had a very direct way of dealing with problems.]

no subject
An annoying kitten, one that's wiggled out of the den into mischief while it's still mewling and helpless.
Or yelling, in this case.]
This is going to hurt if you keep squawking.
[And the reason for that would be the big cat grabbing at the scruff of Nina's neck like a cub.
...though beorc don't exactly have scruffs, so instead she grasps at the collar of her shirt.
The idea was initially just to get her out of the way and possibly safe, but mostly out of the way. Beorc squalling was irritating.]
no subject
However, if Raisa's nose brushes the back of Nina's neck—which is at least somewhat likely—the resulting sensation would probably be a strange and ironic one; Nina herself would feel extremely warm to the touch, but at the same time Raisa would probably feel a sudden chilly spike.
On a related subject, Nina's shirt probably feels like it's been sitting in a freezer for ages.]
no subject
This not-beorc felt quite warm anyway, so whatever was she going on about?
Ah well. Out of the way, kitten.]
no subject
As long as that contact is maintained, the warm and cold feelings gradually rise and fall respectively, and it could potentially get to the point where Nina's skin around her neck feels as if its burning and Raisa's nose is the exact opposite. The greater that difference in temperatures becomes, the more-uncomfortable it begins to feel to the girl as it grows from an awkward pinprick feeling something a bit more painful, but at the same she's feeling a (very unwelcome) sense of relief threatening to drown out that pain.
Another warning sign.]
S-stop...!
no subject
Then it started to burn. That was bad. Particularly where her nose was concerned; all those extra nerves and delicate tissues and ow.
She drops Nina abruptly, pawing at her own nose with a foreleg.]
Whab yu--[she sneezes]--what did you do?
[Raisa had seen magic before, yes--but usually books of some kind or Ancient Languages were involved. And there were no books here.]
no subject
It's...something that just happens. [Hesitation; this is an uncomfortable subject.] When anything touches me, my body just starts stealing the... [Another pause.] ...it steals the warmth from it, and I can't control it. [That would probably explain why her clothes felt so cold when Raisa went to pick her up.] I...can't generate my own.
no subject
You don't look much like a lizard to me.
no subject
no subject
Does your nation have a policy of neutrality too?
[Planet was just another word for country, right? Or...the climate of a certain country.
Beorc languages sure were complicated sometimes.]
no subject
The one my mother came from, though? I...honestly don't know. Nobody knows too much about it.
no subject
...parentless Goldoan, are you? I wasn't aware the dragons liked the parentless.
[Though it was oddl this not-beorc didn't seem like a Branded or smell like one, just...different. Not laguz, beorc, or Branded, just cold.]
no subject
And while she still is feeling like it's a little cold here, the unintentional transfer just moments ago stopped it from bothering her as much. At least for now.]
