Extremely nervous/shaky voice-testing. Also very early Indigo League/Kanto Misty?
Do you even have a clue what you're doing?
[No.]
Well, at least you're willing to admit it when you're clueless, unlike some people I could name...
I've been hearing from others here though that you go through these "phases" and I might just be your latest "phase". We need to talk about that, mun. You can't just assume I'm okay with that, because I'm not! I deserve better than to be paid attention to one week and then ignored the next! If you're starting this, you're in it for good! No backing out, do you hear me?!

PIKACHUPI!
[Yes, Ash is strangely excited to see you. How bout that?]
no subject
...What, Ash, why are you looking at me like that? Do I have something on my face? [What why are you so excited to see her, you were just arguing about a bike a second ago what.]
no subject
no subject
[Give her a second to let that sink in. It's kind of making her a little sad and she's not... entirely sure why. She'll cover it up quickly though with the crossing of her arms and a slightly smug look.] Well, I guess that means you finally do get me a new bike.

Actually, the Nurse Joy from Viridian kinda rebuilt the old one.
wow if I'm super bad at this, I apologize. /flails!

How could anyone ignore someone as loud as you?
no subject
Well, if people would listen to me every once in a while I wouldn't have to be loud, now would I?

[ Because he's totally a master already! Definitely! ]
Besides, I didn't have to weaken Caterpie at all! But you're so scared of bug-types you probably didn't even notice!
no subject
[...Nope, she can't just let the Caterpie comment slide, either. This bickering could probably go on forever without Brock to intervene.
OH WELL!]...And that's only because Caterpie is already a weak pokémon! Also, bugs are GROSS!
no subject
[ You did NOT just diss on Caterpie! ]
You...! If it wasn't for that Caterpie we never woulda made it through Viridian Forest. You should be thankful!
no subject
You don't know that, that was a fluke!
I didn't say I wasn't thankful! I said it was weak because Caterpies are beginner pokémon! And being thankful or liking one bug doesn't make them all less gross! They're still gross!
no subject
[ And NOTHING will convince him otherwise ]
Yeah, well for someone who hates bugs so much you sure BUG me!
[ ASH KETCHUM, PUNMASTER SUPREME ]
(( ooc: Haha, you're doing fine, trust me! Sometimes it takes a little bit to get in the mindset where tags come easy, don't sweat it! YOU'RE WINGING IT RIGHT ))
no subject
And need I remind you, I wouldn't have to bug you if a certain someone hadn't stolen my bike and trashed it in the first place? [In other words: you brought this on yourself, Ash Ketchum.]
[ OOC: Fff, thank you, I'm glad! Also your Ash is perf. This thread is perf. I can actually read it in their voices. 10/10 Would Recommend. (Also I like to abuse italics, shh.) ]
no subject
[ CHECKMATE-- oh. The bike.
Oh.
Oops ]
H-hey, c'mon, what would you have done in my shoes, huh?
(( ooc: I love these bickering kids so much it isn't even funny (and italics were made for abuse shhh). ))
no subject
Regardless of how it happened, you still owe me a bike. And you could have just asked for my help. I care about pokémon too, you know. I would have helped you get Pikachu to safety. But I bet that thought never even crossed your mind, did it?
[ OOC: Me. Too. /chinhands at them.
Just give me an OOC nudge or whatever if her voice or my facts or anything seem off~ ]

Quite resilient.
[He tips his hat and... there's a strange creature unlike anything in Kanto or even Jouto floating beside him: looking like a strange cross between a balloon and chandlier, with glowing eyes and a stitched mouth, lit up with ghostly blue-purple flames. ... well, at least it's not Bugs, right?]
no subject
[But is very quickly distracted by the odd creature he has with him.] Oh! I've never seen a Pokemon like that before! What is it?
no subject
And I am Ingo, one of the two Subway Bosses of Nimbasa City.
Chandelure is a dual Fire and Ghost Type. Quite skilled, it has been my partner of choice from boyhood. Chandelure's power and cooperation is matchless in double battles alongside my brother Emmet's Elektross!
... unfamiliar names for you, I take it? We are from the Unova Region. You seem familiar... have you ever been on television? [It might come across as flattery from anyone else, but Ingo's serious delivery marks it as a genuine question. Maybe a televised Cup, Contest, or race...]
no subject
And you're right, I've never heard of those Pokemon before... Or even of the Unova region... [She trails off a little, and looks a little shocked at his next question.] Uh, no, I don't think so... I hope to be one day, though! I'd love to be a famous actress! [Well, she's at that age where she'd like to be a lot of different things. And she hasn't been on television yet, but she will have been in her near future. She doesn't know that, though.]
A Subway Boss? Is that anything like a Gym Leader?
no subject
There are only two Subway Bosses and they are myself and Emmet. Trainers come from all over the region to challenge us to double battles. It is a bit difficult to compare us to Gym Leaders as we are a very different breed... but you may consider us as the stop between a Gym Leader and a member of the Elite 4.
[In other words, Master-status without the League obligations!]
no subject
...Wow. [Well, Misty's impressed. She turns her head a little again to look at Chandelure, smiling.] I guess that means you're pretty strong, huh?
no subject
Like Misty's temper! </earlyKantoAsh>] It is said Pokemon grow to resemble their trainers, but I believe the reverse is just as possible. Perhaps you've grown to possess certain qualities associated with your favoured Type...You are welcome to challenge us and see for yourself.
If I were to grow complacent and say, "yes, I am strong" and leave it at that, would that be true strength? No, it would be a meaningless display. When challenged by a worthy opponent, a promising trainer such as yourself, only then can I show something worthy of being called strength...
Do you agree? Disagree?
[Chandelure smiles back, flames flickering; it floats around Misty's head playfully.] Cha~n!
