t-t-testing an aeducan, pls b gentle

By the Stone, mun! Impatience must be an innate characteristic of you humans, no doubt.  You aren't even finished "setting up everything" and yet here you are, rushing things out as if you'd start a sixth Blight if you don't do it this instant!

Why don't you take it slow, instead? Think about it some more, sit down and light a fire... drink some ale! And when you're so drunk you can't even lift your mug anymore, sleep on it and wait until the day after. If you still don't feel ready then, well! Time to repeat everything from the start, I say! With stronger ale, maybe.

Worked for all my important life decisions thus far. Took me three days of that to decide if I was going to crush my dear brother's head with a maul or punch him in the face to death when we would meet again. Sadly didn't get to do either, but you get my point.

Dwarves!

[Thorin looked upon the dwarf with warm eyes. It was not very often he met another of his kin amongst this place.]

An ale is warmly welcome amongst dwarves, as you may know. Tis a good sign to see another in this place.

Nay, not many do at all. There are few that rarely show themselves around here. What kingdom do you hail from, friend?

[personal profile] sonof_thrain 2013-05-28 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Nay, I am not familiar with the name. Perhaps, we come from different kingdoms, friend. I am Thorin Oakenshield, son of Thror, son of Thrain. King under the Mountain. I hail from the kingdom of Erebor.

Another astounding example of dwarven politics. Really, it's a true wonder that your brethren have not all killed one another, Warden.

You wasted three days wondering whether or not to crush your brother's head? How indecisive.

AEDUCAN!!!! FINALLY!!!!

*Sorry, just staring, it's the first time a dwarf let her see his face.*

[He did not find it an amusing matter. This dwarf seemed not to understand royalty. At least, he didn't show it much.]

You used to be a prince? What changed?
crushallbirds: (up)

...right, ignore that 'you' up there and pretend it said 'it' okay??

No doubt. I find nearly any problem can be solved by crushing things. Perhaps it should follow my example.

The point usually misses their heads, Commander. It sails right over, even though they're so tall. Pretty sad, isn't it?

I don't think even legs as long as theirs can jump high enough to catch all of them.

[ she grins. ]

I have, actually! Once. He's not so bad. At least he has more perspective than Anders.

thanks!

Chances to crush heads can always be made. It just has to pick a target, squish it, and continue until all the obstacles between it and its goal have been eliminated.

That sounds a bit too slow, the problem might have passed by then. And not entirely well.
