I don't wish to sound negative, not when I'm thankful for you picking me up and all but I fear your hopes of finding castmates for me is a lost cause. The Flash has never been as popular as some of the other DC titles and let's face it, I'm a third tier character at best. Sure, it would be great if you could find me a Wally or some Rogues to play off of but let's be realistic here, hmmn?

Why don't you just keep tossing me around on that bakerstreet place and who knows,maybe we'll see some other Flashes hanging around. I'll be honest, I'm somewhat hesitant to have you tag one of those other universe Wally Wests for a variety reasons so please try to reign yourself and your excitement in, alright?

And no, before you ask, I have no interest in going to one of those games. You might not be able to admit you have a problem but even I can see what a poor idea that would be. Besides, you still need to do things like deciding canon point for me not to mention it would be nice if you could flesh out my profile just a little while you're at it. Why don't we work on those things first and then we can talk about this some more.

Exactly. Of course, if my mundane would kindly make up her mind about where she is drawing me from, it would sort of determine which friends I'd have. [His smile was full of self-deprecating humor.]

Well apparently I'm just so 'pretty' in the new 52 line. [He rolled his eyes ever so slightly at that.] But I happen to like my preboot stuff, you know? Sure, DC definitely turned the screws on me towards the end there, but still.

[Piper's expression tightened ever so slightly when he brought up his past.] Take away all that strife and you take away a big chunk of my character development. I mean...the fact that James still appears to be dead in this new universe makes me question just how much of my canon remains true. [As always, it hurt to talk about the original Trickster.]

I don't blame her, my mundane has certainly been...vocal about her thoughts on the new 52 stuff including my relationship with David.

[He wasn't really used to people touching him. It was a sad fact of Piper's life that he saw more affectionate contact with rodents than he did his fellow humans most days.]

It definitely personifies the oddest of friendships, I'll admit.

[The former Rogue could only shrug somewhat uncomfortably.] Not really, no. I'm pretty content on memes. My mundane is already in two and a half games as it is, she doesn't need another one. Besides, aside from some diehard Flash fans, I doubt anyone would even know who I am.

Have you seen some of those games out there? I can live without being put into some awkward sex game or put onto some exiled planet somewhere. [Abashed, he smiled wanly.] I'm pretty content with the quiet lifestyle I lead these days. Besides, every time I put on the Pied Piper outfit, something always seems to happen and my whole life is blown up into smithereens.

You're young, and easy on the eyes. I'm not seeing the problem. [ but from the way she's smiling it's clear she's only joking. ] But the quiet lifestyle sounds nice, even if it's not my kind of life.

It's not my cup of tea, no. The idea of those 'sex games' is repellant to me. Being forced to sleep with people? Maybe I'm just a prude but I don't sleep with the first cute guy who bats his lashes at me. And there are other games but they sound equally unpleasant.

I think that comes with age. When I was younger, I probably wouldn't have minded. Now, things are a little different.

I've had enough excitement to last me three lifetimes and I'm pretty sure I've run out of my figurative nine lives.

You could be right. It was all well and good when I was younger but these days I definitely find myself wanting something more than just a casual relationship. [The former-Rogue found himself smiling wryly.] I fear we may be dating ourselves just a little.

Luckily, he doesn't feel there is enough information to put into an application. So, I'm safe for a few more months.

Though, really if I needed to, I could probably just pay him off.

Ahhh, that makes sense. I can't even imagine trying to app me into a game as new 52. Yet another bone of contention my mundane has, apparently I'm not in enough issues.

[Piper chuckled softly at that.] Can you actually do that? Please tell me how you can pay off your mundane?

Not sure how wire transfers would work, but I'm sure something will work.
