Vitrification and the suspension of cell decay by cryonic procedures, on the other hand, that'll hold just about anything.

Worked pretty well for a few centuries until someone was stupid enough to let you out.

Mistaking the tool for the craftsman, are we?

I think you might be oversimplifying the process...
madmaninabox: (serious face)

[personal profile] madmaninabox 2013-05-16 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe.

But the people you betrayed, the people you tried to kill -- Captain Kirk and his crew -- are going to live long, full lives. Thanks to your blood, actually. [A tight, cold smile. Isn't that a comfort?]

Maybe it's another three hundred years, maybe it's a thousand. Either way, by the time humanity comes up with another person stupid enough to try and use you, any chance you might have had to go after them will be long dead.
madmaninabox: (ohshit)

[personal profile] madmaninabox 2013-05-16 04:42 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I imagine it wasn't. They were only collateral in your play for revenge.
kirk: (scew you meatball)

[personal profile] kirk 2013-05-16 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Death would have held you far better. Is that what you're saying?

[Because that was an option.]
kirk: (is that a challenge)

[personal profile] kirk 2013-05-16 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I honestly don't know, but there's a whole lot of people on Earth who'd have loved to see you put down for good.

Remember that, when you wake up. Ice or not, you're only alive today because of Starfleet.
kirk: (glare)

[personal profile] kirk 2013-05-16 07:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[ no, jim. you cannot punch him in the face. you tried that already and it didn't work. ]

Maybe we thought we needed you once. Now you're just a relic of an older, more insecure time when humanity still thought that being stronger or smarter made you better than others. You're out-dated.

[ he sounds bemused, if anything. but he's certainly not here to tell you that you were in anyway wrong in your actions. ] That would depend on the ice, would it not?
mischieves: (< GURL)

RIGHT THO also presidents of the cheekbones that can cut glass club.

Some ice can never thaw. [ it's a thought; he's countering, but not disagreeing. a shrug. ]

Technicalities though, I'm sure. Mortal technologies cannot hold rightful intent. [ rightful. he's very much on your side, see? ]
glassesnoglasses: (can we help you)

[personal profile] glassesnoglasses 2013-05-16 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Or kill you. That, or a power malfunction.
glassesnoglasses: (ow!)

[personal profile] glassesnoglasses 2013-05-16 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
You're in cryo, right? I'm assuming no one threw you in an actual ice block.
