Voice Testing

I will travel as far as I must to find them. I cannot be the last! I will not accept that! (She tosses her bright, silky mane and paws at the ground with her hoof. Her voice is clear and filled with passion.) Once I find them, I will lead the way home. Even if they cannot see us and even if they call me a mare, we will not disappear.

It is not our time to leave this world behind.

Aye, I'll grant ye that. Magic of all kinds have long been dwindling from the world.

A pity, we may soon vanish completely... banished to myth and memory.

I do not think magic is required to see a unicorn. (Men have simply closed their minds.) I am not ready to give up.

The belief of magic opens the mind t'see the true form of a unicorn... or a fae. Your resolve is admirable.

Is that what they forgot? (She doesn't entirely understand Men - nor does she want to.) Without my kind, many creatures will cease to exist.

[Tam Lin used to be a mortal man, so he can understand them to a far greater degree than most others of his kind. Though, there are times when they baffle even him.]

[Though he was born a man and became Fae as a result of exposure to Faerieland, so he can see both sides of the picture.]

I have not encountered many of your kind. (Though truth be told, she has seen much in her long years. She doesn't even know how old she is.) What is your name?

(She is far more than a creature.)

Tam Lin. I guarded the glen of Carterhaugh once upon a time.

Do ye have a name, fair one?

If I do, I cannot recall it. (What are names? They might have value if she weren't the last of her kind.) I have never met a Faery that guarded a glen. What is a glen?

[Slight shake of his head] I haven't.

Not outside of myth and legend.

(She looks saddened.)

You are not alone in that belief.

A wood within a valley. Still, that was many years ago, nothing more than a memory. [And a long story he'd rather not go into at the time.]

If it rests your mind, I had seen a few unicorns then. Again, however, it was a long, long time ago.
