If your faith was not one full of murder and deceit, perhaps. If your faith did not deny the sanctity of gods and their blood right! Not to mention why would one wish to believe this wonderful world is a place of suffering? That's simply accepting the hardship as some sort of divine punishment instead of making your own life better.
Not to mention you are simply a political tool to be used and discarded as one sees fit.
