I'm scared. I don't want to go to a city of Sin where I don't know anyone and all of these wicked things happen to people. I'm nothing special. I don't have any powers or skills to combat such adversity. I'm just... well, I'm just me. What's this you say? There is more to me than I know? I don't know what you could be referring to. How could I have some connection a Greek myth? The story of Orpheus and Eurydice? It is one of my favorite ballets, but what does that have to do with me?

It's intimidating to see how many of these 'chosen ones' as they are called have something really special about them.

Still. I wasn't chosen for anything. I prefer the term 'unceremoniously flung into horrific danger'. That I made it out of the aforementioned danger relatively unscathed is just pure talent on my part.

Oh, well that is probably true. But I don't have any sort of talent like that. How am I supposed to cope? I'm just a student getting a degree in Ballet and Psychology. That can hardly be comparable to a wizard.

One of my friends is just a bloke studying for Oxford. He does just fine. Mostly.

At any rate, his boyfriend doesn't have much by way of magical skill, either. There's two people for you already.

My mun thinks I'd make a good counselor for people in Bete Noire. I'm not sure I'll have the credentials since I won't be fully graduated by the time I arrive. Do you think I can still do something with it?

Oh goodness, I would think so. Oh dear, I hadn't thought about medicine. What am I to do about my prescriptions I take?

Oh okay. The anti-depressants don't work too well, but my mom swears it's helping. So I suppose I shouldn't stop taking it just because I'm in a new city.

I'd offer you some advice, except I haven't the slightest as to what that is. Short of something that makes one less depressed, perhaps.
