bringing out an old muse
It's definitely been a while, but it's good to know you haven't completely forgotten about me. You're even rereading my role in the stories - I'm almost flattered. Only, well, I know what you're like, and I know what happened the last time we were both here. It's not that I'm complaining, mind, I'm just attempting to make a very polite point. It's just that you get nervous whenever you so much as look in my direction, and the same could be said for most of the people currently crowding your headspace. It's not like you haven't been known for rushing into things before, and Merlin knows that I'm hardly the most stable of people to go running off with. I'm practically the spokes person for stranger danger, which - well, is putting it lightly.
And if you're absolutely sure about all of this, then try and pick somewhere where my fuzzy little problem won't become too much of an issue. I know that you've got your sights set on somewhere already, and that's very flattering, it's just - I know that it's not going to be much help whenever a certain celestial orb starts rears its ugly head.
Alright, well, I just wanted to get all of that out there before you decided to run off into the deep end.
P.S: Those keywords aren't funny.

Perhaps your writer will choose a place entirely without a moon. Or with a foreign world's moon. That would be a curious experience, I'm certain.

[ Remus pauses for a short moment, head tilting quizzically - whoever this is, he's familiar, but it's in a way that leaves him somewhat astonished.
This is Albus Dumbledore, and he's roughly the same age that he is.
And that's a strange thought to contend with. He smiles nonetheless, holding a hand out in greeting. ]
Don't give her any more ideas. She's already torn between two places.

[ he accepts the hand with a brief hum of laughter. ] I fear I'm occasionally known for my inadvisable notions. I must admit that both places seem intriguing. I can't imagine having my magic taken from me in trade for some other, singular gift, though.. [ a thoughtful pause. ] .. I can see where you might prefer such a thing.

[ Remus may or may not be incredibly excited, from one book nerd to another. ]
You and I both know where I'd rather end up, but of course, the writer is leaning towards the underwater city. I do wonder how I'd cope without magic as we know it, though. How it might change things, whether it be for the better or not.

I'm certain at the least, it may go some distance toward humbling those who occasionally need humbling. [ like himself. ]

[ this is your fault, Albus, and you should accept your fate as a terrible enabler. ]
And the rest will simply have to deal with it, I suppose.
!! hello!
You could always be thankful that you have 'keywords'! Mine are all random numbers, so far.
HIIIII how are you /chinhands
Well, it's not the first time he's been stared at. He just smiles in response, shrugging his shoulders. ]
Still, better than Duran Duran. Especially when someone's trying to make a statement.
/chinhands forever. I AM GOOD, how are you? c:
Still, she snorts at his comment. )
It's a fairly primal song. What with all the hunting references and the moon and --
( Oh. Oh. She knows where she's seen him before. In pictures in Harry's photo album, of Harry's dad and his friends at school.
Which meant that this was.. )
Remus Lupin?!
ALSO GOOD. wriggles fingers at
He tends to get somewhat defensive.
It doesn't help that someone he doesn't even know apparently knows him well enough to both know his name and his monthly condition. For a long moment, Remus looks increasingly uncomfortable as he stares Hermione down, head tilted and his chin defiantly jutted out.
Warily, he smiles. ]
... Ah, yes. Do - do I know you?
come join us at asgard we would love you forever. c:
It seems like they both look uncomfortable, Hermione for completely different (and sadder) reasons. )
No. Yes. Maybe. But not yet. ( Because that makes sense. ) If you don't mind me asking, er, how old are you?
aaah maybe. idk man. in ryan's gulch remus would keep the whole wizard and werewolf deal so hmmm
Uncomfortable is an understatement. Remus is genuinely worried - how does this girl know his name? How does she know anything?
He anxiously shifts, eyes darting towards the nearest exit. ]
That's not exactly an answer. [ Softly spoken, but firm. Remus is feeling somewhat on edge, now, sorry Hermione. ] Why? I'm eighteen.
i understand that! c: i know we'd love to have you, so just think on it! no pressure!
Her eyes follow his to the exit of the room, before she holds up her hands, worried that he might flee. )
W-Wait! Please.. ( He's the first person from home she's met since being brought here. )
I'm .. your best friend's son's best friend. Except James Potter doesn't have a son yet, does he? My name is Hermione Granger, and I'm from your future, sort of. We haven't met yet, but we will, much later on in your life.
( Well, she did a bad job of explaining that. )
