because apparently mundane's thing is bad guys now
I am hurt. I'm not a "bad guy" mundane. I admit I may have done a few things in the past that I'm not entirely proud of, [Lies. He was proud of every single thing.] but I'm completely reformed now.
Promise.
Now. Tell me that you have a game in mind to send me to-- I don't do so well bored, my dear. You know that.

Psychopath, well now that's not a very nice word, is it? What's that little old saying... ah yes.
Argents shouldn't throw stones in glasses houses.
Or, well, something like that. I may be paraphrasing a bit.

I've already acknowledged what my sister did was wrong.
[Too little too late, probably]
Can you say the same about your own actions?
no subject
[Peter adds another finger to the first.] Killing my niece?
... alright, yes, I'll give you, that was probably wrong.

[She probably wouldn't be dead, but she would have suffered by way of their laws.
And then there was the matter of his father. Taken over by greed for longevity, thinking a werewolf bite would cure everything. It was like his family as a magnet for craziness]
Quite. That one is entirely on you.
no subject
You know, I start naming them and then realize you're probably proud of what you did to them.
That puts you right under the heading of bad guy.

Laura was my niece, and it's regrettable what happened to her, really it is, but that is a family matter and as such it is none of your concern, boy. [His tone goes sharp.]
And Scott? [A musing little hum.] No, I'm not proud of that one either. If I'd had any of my wits about me that night I would have bitten Stiles instead. Now he would have made a good beta.

While I'm at it, I could ask about pack business. You know, the pack he chose me to be part of after killing you to get you out of it.
He'd have done the same thing he did as a human. Helped to get you killed.

[Peter smiles faintly down at his hands.]
I can be very persuasive when I want to be, Isaac. I'm sure I could have talked Stiles around to my way of thinking eventually.
Do go on, though. It is quite amusing to hear you speak about things you weren't there for as if you actually had any hand in them at all.

Maybe that Allison girl, she seemed pretty energetic. [A fangy smile.] Could be fun.
no subject
That doesn't mean I like it. Or that I'm not waiting for the day you turn on him.
[His voice was low, steady, pulled together in ways he didn't actually feel. Not entirely.]
Nope, I wasn't there, but I've been there for some of them since then. Remembered that you can't always follow the instinct to take and have and kill. Remembered I'm still as human as they are, no matter what happens once a month.
no subject
You can wait all you like. In the mean time, I'm going to focus on the very real danger of the Alpha pack because somebody around here should be prepared for them, don't you think?
Unless of course you think the Alpha pack is all part of my master plan to distract you from my other master plan to... oh, I don't know what, but it must be good if I'm going to so much trouble to distract you from it.
no subject
[He knew he was pushing his luck, risking himself and what he meant to Derek and what remained of his pack. It didn't stop him though.]
What I think? I think you'll hang around until you get bored, or nearly lose your life again, or whatever makes you stop that damn smirking that is really kind of creepy and then you're going to bolt and leave us to go down fighting. That's what I think about this Alpha pack and you.
no subject
[Another finger.] Two, whatever else you may think of me, Derek is my only remaining family as well. And three. [One more finger up to join the ranks.] Three, with the way you all seem to attract trouble, I sincerely doubt that I am going to be bored with things anytime soon.
Besides, you need me. All that brawn among you lot and not a one of you with any brains.
no subject
no subject
Really.
no subject
He wouldn’t be your only remaining family if not for what you did to her. [His voice was softer then, feeling for Derek as a boy that had lost all of his family as well, and had no one remaining.] You took that away from you both.
[He still didn’t expect Peter to stay, to help. Not just because it was him, but because of his lack of faith in people and connections lasting. Not the way his life had been recently.]
A brain that could turn on us at any time, and we all know it. So trustworthy.
no subject
[He'll just be watching you]
no subject
[Watch me all you want BB.]
no subject
Abandoned their family.
[Yeah, that's right, Peter's the victim of this story. Chew on that for a bit, Isaac.]
no subject
[He barely managed not to roll his eyes.]
Not reassuring. Just saying. Kind of... scary. Which is probably your goal, I admit.
And that is coming from someone without a family. Someone who manages control because of that same family.
no subject
You know nothing about me, boy. You've heard only the worst of me from others and decided to cast judgement upon me based entirely on hearsay. At least when I condemn someone I know that they have wronged me personally.
no subject
I know you hurt Derek. I know you're probably part of why his control is anger. I've seen myself you do nothing to help that damage, just watch him heading out of control. You don't have to wrong me personally. I wouldn't give a shit if you did. That you hurt him, that's what bothers me.
no subject
[Said slowly, as if speaking to a small child.]
I hurt Derek and Derek hurt me. That's what family does to each other. But you're fooling yourself if you really think that the person Derek is most angry with is me, dear boy. [Because Peter knows Derek better than anyone. And Peter knows that Derek could never be more angry with anyone than he is with himself.]
no subject
See, this is why I don't feel the need to learn. You're a dick about it and don't give me a reason to want to know more. Not that you care.
I'll play nice and treat this as you're pack and that's what Derek wants and whatever.
You should want more from family than an abusive relationship.

If all you expect is the world, Peter, then what's the point?

Why go through the trouble of coming back from the dead to just be that way?
no subject
[A small, troubled frown.] I can tell you, but I'm almost certain you won't believe me: I came back for Derek.
no subject
[He sighed, not sure he believed it, but still not sure he didn't.]
Would have been easier not to kill his sister and force him to kill you in the first place. Just saying.
no subject
I don't know how many times I can tell you people that it wasn't intentional before it finally sinks in.
no subject
Intentional or not, it hurt him. Hurt him enough to want to stop you whatever it took for him. Do you ever think about how much that hurt him that he had to kill you? That you forced him to?

[He was truly trying to work this out in his own head, and even giving Peter the benefit of he doubt.]
He was in his right mind, but backed into a corner.
