He wouldn’t be your only remaining family if not for what you did to her. [His voice was softer then, feeling for Derek as a boy that had lost all of his family as well, and had no one remaining.] You took that away from you both.

[He still didn’t expect Peter to stay, to help. Not just because it was him, but because of his lack of faith in people and connections lasting. Not the way his life had been recently.]

Intentional or not, it hurt him. Hurt him enough to want to stop you whatever it took for him. Do you ever think about how much that hurt him that he had to kill you? That you forced him to?

So you think that it hurt Derek to kill me, but it didn't hurt me to kill Laura? That sounds like a double standard to me.

No. It is me accepting you weren't in your right mind when you did it. That would explain how you do it without it being intentional. Otherwise it was intentional instead if just hunting down those that did it without being alpha.
