Voice test / app woes
I cannot say I am disappointed about this "application" of yours getting declined.
I have a mission to get back to. Your attempts to toy with me by sending me to a magic castle locked in a vessel I willingly chose are not only meddlesome, they are misguided. You should have known you'd need to put more effort into it if you hoped to be successful.
... If I have to suffer inside someone's head, could you at least stop moping about it? You had only just begun to hear my voice again. If you had bothered to listen instead of rushing into things like certain other humans I know, things might have turned out differently.
[Sigh.]
If it really means that much to you, just try again. If you make one more attempt and it fails, I will do my best to remain silent.

I've told her before it's a strange thing to prioritize. But of course, she doesn't listen.

I didn't bother arguing the point. A vessel is a vessel, and I am far more concerned about this place she wishes to send me to.
no subject
What place is this?

I suppose the vessel is an attempt at being able to relate with me more closely in human terms? Remarkable as they are, they are creatures of finite understanding.

[Unhappy father is extremely unhappy. Castiel, you get out of his daughter right now.]

[Pause of ultimate confusion.]
You seem upset. Have I not done all you have asked?

[The only thing stronger than his urge to hurt Castiel, was his want to keep his daughter safe. He doesn't touch Castiel. But his hands are clenched into fists at his side, and his teeth are ground together.]

I have no recollection of this.
When last we spoke, you had no desire to act as a vessel again. Time was short. I did what I had to do, to protect your family.
no subject
Yeah, thanks.
[His tone is bordering on sarcastic.]
I've changed my mind. Take me, not Claire.

[She would be willing to accept. Unfortunately, the circumstances don't exactly allow it.]
There are... barriers. I am unable to leave my current vessel.
[Jimmy is a good man, and has served far more than most devout men can claim to. She'd like to grant his request, but it simply isn't possible anymore.]
... I'm sorry.
[The flat tone belies how sincerely Castiel means it.]

Perhaps. Or in making sure you are underestimated when you shouldn't be. But yes, they are. They always have been.

[He will do everything he can to knock them down. It was his dying wish to become Castiel's vessel. More than anything else in the entire world, the one thing he did not want was for Claire to go through what he went through. It was horrible and miserable and everything 13 year old girls should not have to deal with.
It was his job as a father. It was his right. And he will do anything in his power to change it.]
