...

So glad to know I was your, what, third choice?

I guess I'm supposed to be grateful that you picked me, and not the flying tin can or lump of coal.

Yeah, I wasn't really paying attention.

I'm sorry, but you'll have to come to terms with it eventually.

We live in a world that demands Bucky Barnes pay attention to things.

On the one hand, I'm famous in realities I've never even set foot in, the boss here has managed to get me an honest-to-God magic sword, and I'm actual friends with actual women. On the other hand, my soul is a parrot who gives me almost as much guff as you do.

I'm lucky, though. My mun's not as happy as some of these others to keep throwing trouble at someone until he breaks. I think you'll be safe for the most part, but I'd still keep my eyes peeled.

[Steve sighs, and suddenly, through the magic of meta, a green and gray parrot is visible perched on his head.]

This is Aoife. Her hobbies include basket weaving, chewing holes in things, and keeping me humble.

[It's Bucky, of course Aoife's going to answer directly.] Steve's head isn't big enough for me to pull that one off.

[Steve, meanwhile, just looks resigned. His soul is a jerk.]
exloserspromise: man in '40s military dress uniform almost smiling (yeah we'll go with that)

[Aoife ducks her head to pick through Steve's hair affectionately. He's clearly used to it.]

Yeah, but it's not quite the same without you. The stupid's all spread around a bunch of different people, I'm never sure who to drag into trouble behind me.
