You- what is this? Mun? What? Look, it's not important. I'm glad to be here. Really. I am. But Dad needs to be warned. We both saw that Vertibird landing from the drainage pipe. If we- if I'm- not there to warn him, who knows what's going to happen?

[.......Mae has no idea what to say to that. Can you really tell a version of yourself that they're going to lose their dad? She still remembers, it still hurts like a hell a year later.

Have a tired looking girl reply in a dry voice. Normally she tries to keep up a more cheerful tone, but it's another version of her and it's about dad. Faking it would be cruel.]

I'm sure she knows. At least, I hope so. [Lilah manages a shaky little smile.] But Dad's... Dad's smart. He'll figure out a way to get around those guys in the Vertibird. Maybe lie low in Megaton, wait until they give up whatever they're doing, then fire up the Project and bam! Everything's better.

[There's a long pause.] ...Is there something my mun's not telling me? I mean... I just got here. We've made such a good team. Aside from Grayditch, but that wasn't my fault. Ants aren't supposed to breathe fire!

The G.O.A.T? Oh right. I got Pip-Boy programmer. What did you get?

Huh? Oh, uh, Vault loyalty inspector. [She makes a face.] Spent most of my work time actively avoiding doing any inspecting; spelunking down in the older parts of the Vault was much more fun.

Really? I'd heard of that job. I didn't think they gave it out anymore.
