(OOC: Canon point from back when Snow was a thief on the run. Before she met Charming.)

[She swiftly raises her bow, aiming with surprising precision in the direction of the sudden rustling. A possible threat. She has no reason to trust that it will be someone or something with her best interest in mind.. Then...she relaxes her arms, speaking through a breathless sigh.]

Oh, it's only you, Mundane...You really should watch yourself... I nearly ran you through.
Honestly, you can't trust anyone that you meet out here... If I hadn't recognized you, I can't say that I wouldn't have.

[She looks down, brow furrowed.]

It's just...the Queen. Well, you know. My life isn't as it once was... [She shrugs.] As it should be..

Friends, mundane? Ha! Out here? Surely you must be jok- Well, I do have one... Red. Though she's more than just a friend. She's the only thing keeping me sane...the only person that I can truly call "family."

True love? Ha! How frivolous... to think that you actually believe..- [Closing her eyes, she puts a hand to her forehead in disgust.]
Well. I have some disappointing news for you, Dear.

[Her expression goes from content to bitter in less than a second..]

Men. Relationships. They're all the same... I don't care how many stories you've been told.. "Happily ever after" could not be farther from truth. Every man I've come across out here only wants my heart to take back to the queen in exchange for some reward. And marriage? I've seen it happen a hundred times before. People marry for riches, royalty, power- It's all about personal gain...never love. So don't even waste your time.

Really...true love...

It doesn't exist.

I've seen no trace of the "true love" that my mun speaks of...Men are nothing but self-seeking fools. I've come across dozens out here...Each of them in search of nothing more than the reward that they've been promised in exchange for my life.

As I imagined. "Making it work." [She scoffs.] That's what would have to take place whilst married to someone who cared little for you.

[She applauds him for his efforts, really she does. In a cynical, "why don't you prove it" sort of way. A slight shrug as she offers her input.]

I suppose that there are a handful of men in existence with a shred of compassion.

[She briefly recollects the day that the huntsman spared her life out of pity.. when he could have so easily taken it.]

My mom and dad have been apart for most of their marriage, and Mom's been sick for nearly half of it. No one said it's easy, but if there's anything I've picked up from my father, it's that everything takes work. And if there's anything I learned from my mom? Well, it's that the work pays off. Almost thirty years now, and they're still crazy about each other.

But yeah, sometimes it sucks. Sometimes, you're literally a world apart and can't do much about that. Sometimes the people you love don't love you back or they abandon you. Turning cruel over that is just letting them win. You going to give a victory to the ones who hurt you by becoming like them?
