[Homura, after the mess she's made of time and timelines, doesn't particularly see much strange about talking to, well, herself.]

There may be a use for it after all, if she goes ahead with plans to send you somewhere.

[Most obviously? A chance to be with Madoka again. Or, perhaps even a chance for an ending that won't have to involve losing her.]

And what use would that be? The last time it went nowhere, and all I got was pain.

Then we do it again. [Homura's voice is calm, even soft, but utterly firm. There is no other option. Not for them, not in the path they've walked until now.]

[For once, time is on this Homura's side. She's from after Madoka rewrote the world.

But she knows the thousand reasons to give up, especially if Madoka isn't there, the one thing that made it all worth it. But she also knows that to give up is to despair, to despair is to fall, to become a witch is to destroy any hope of ever saving Madoka at all.]

If you want to find your way back to her, you may have to. That's simply how matters stand.

How matters stand, we chose this long path back to the goal we want. And Madoka deserves that.

You can see it by looking at us. I've done the same as you. [This is not a sentence she could say to anyone else in any world; only she remembers what happened in each one, what she's done.]
