I am flattered that you have created this so-called 'icon set' for me. I hear it's like running the gauntlet. It does sound very impressive...

Would you hold out hope for me to find Ruki-dono? Or perhaps I will find someone powerful enough to be my tamer. I serve only the worthy ones with my abilities.

I shall say this. Whatever place needs a guardian I will come to swiftly.

I certainly had hoped that Guilmon had been reunited with you by now. If you needed me to, I would seek him out for you.

No, Guilmon isn't with me. When I first arrived at the castle he was with me and I was really happy. But then he went home, and I've been alone for months now.

You don't refer to a castle in the Digital World do you?

[now, this had piqued her interest.]

If that is the case, alone on the digital plain is no place for a lone tamer. It is my duty to see no harm comes to you or the other chosen.

No, it isn't in the Digital World. Its in another world called Paradisa. That's the name of the castle too, which is kind of funny.

I had not meant it that way. No, I would not dream of serving another master, not all the while knowing you were out there somewhere, and I could be your guardian again.

In a place like this, you can find just about anyone. It takes a little luck, but you never know.

Missed? [ Ruki frowns. that was much more-- and much more emotional-- than she expected to hear. ] Have you been stuck with your mun for a while?

[He's not much of a talker, but he just sort of stands there and offers a growl of greeting.]

[She approached him in warmth of greeting, but rather uncertain to give him any sort of pat on the shoulder or a handshake... the dragon Digimon was a bit intimidating.]

Now that the two of us have crossed paths, I imagine we can try gathering the others. I don't suppose you would be loath to leading them to this Paradisa?

I'm not sure. It didn't seem so long... it seemed more like a long rest. I say that now; in the midst of all my wanderings and quests alone it seemed very real.

[Her description sounded a lot like slumber... did Digimons even dream? However, Renamon having her memories of their adventure together, ending the D-Reaper... might very well have fallen on deaf ears to her valued partner.]

Well, it takes a lot more than intense training to reach that level of trust. It's not just working to become stronger; it's also working together. When Digimon fight, their tamers fight, too. That's something most people forget.

Well, I.. [ She gives a bit of a laugh. ] I guess you could say I'm a Guardian in training technically. My dad takes most of the responsibility now, but it's definitely not for my lack of trying to get him to hand me the ropes. He can just be so stubborn.

We're the guardian of our people and of our most ancient relics. If you're offering to help, I assume you're a different kind of guardian.

Take it from someone's whose been around fer a while, yer probably gonna regret goin' along with dis.

Impmon! [She sounded about as enthusiastic as she possibly could, short of a shrill emotional outburst.]

Guilmon wishes he could be there too, but my mun's really busy.

But Guilmon also saw Ryo here and a big, black Digimon. He looked like a Perfect or maybe even an Ultimate! Really strong.

Takato, you are faring alright there aren't you? [There was a hint of concern, but also stern insistence as well in her words.]

You should never hesitate to call upon your friends to help you. There would be no reason for you to face danger alone there.

The experience has served you well all this time. It is really something when the civilian Digimon call you friend.

Is your partner still in search of his ultimate opponent? He's been fidgety of late.

You shall find him someday. Just beware that you do not find your enemy within, I would hate to see you fall in a fight because you deny your own needs.

Then again, you may thrive in battle. I know only of our battles against the sovereigns, they kept you busy.

[A soft huff of amusement.] Are we not all in training?

It must be nice to have a father. Although he seems overbearing now he will always be looking out for you. It is more I can say about myself, Digimon do not have parents.

I will return to my human partner Ruki soon. My job is to protect Ruki as she fulfills her destiny and saves both worlds from destruction. While I am bound to her, I would not blink an eye at saving a kindred spirit such as yourself.

You save another kind of world from destruction; that is, the history of your world is it not?

[He shakes his head.] I'm not alone. Not really. I mean, Guilmon is gone and none of the rest of you are there. But I've made friends with some of the people there. You would like some of them, I think. Some of them talk a lot about another Digital World called the grid.

Sometimes, all they need is someone to talk to or hang out with. They can be just as trustworthy as your partner.

He's...yeah, he's still searching. It's complicated, but I can't hold it against him; it's part of who he is.

I have wished to serve and protect humans again for some time, I had considered lending a hand to people only if they were strong and just.
