SCP muse, anyone? Looking for a game...

I don't enjoy being referred to as having a mad scientist moment. I only acted to save my daughter. Anyone with a heart would do what I've done.

That said, I don't entirely dislike the idea of going to another universe or a pocket dimension for a bit since time will hold still. It's not like the investigations we did with 093 where things had a 1:1 time ratio, and something I discover in my time away may be of use to me or my family. If nothing else, I can help document the interconnectivity of universes for the Foundation. It may come in handy in the long run.

So. Find me a game and an application. Your finals are nearly over, so you have little excuse for doing otherwise. And try to get some sleep. Growing girls need their rest.

[...this is why people find you creepy, Adam.]

No, they find me 'creepy' because I don't behave predictably enough. People always grow uneasy in the face of uncertainty. Why do you think the Foundation has grown so powerful? Why do you think they still have my little girl locked up, mundane? To quote that awful poem your classmate wrote, they're run by fear.

I am not usually one for speaking outside my pay grade, but a heart is one of the worst things you can have in this line of work.

I won't comment on the 'creepy' part, but I will say that our duty to the world comes before all other.

Certain parts tend to either be too ambitious or too new to the job. I've only been here for more than a decade and I've seen enough to know better. It is outside my job to correct for these individuals, but I'm used to cleaning up after they face the inevitable conclusion of their ideals.

I am relieved to know that not everyone here is incapable of learning from their mistakes, though.

I doubt that, but I understand. The more people who know about something, the more likely it is that someone who shouldn't will hear of it.

That is all well and good, but the paperwork involved when someone steps past their boundaries is far too troublesome. Also, the constant rotation of staff makes remembering names pointless.

Not that remembering names is ever beneficial to our continued employment, anyways.

If only all of them could be like 1867.

I imagine there are more than a few of us with stories like that.

As much as I can't much stand that level of delusional self-importance in most, it comes off as charming with 1867.
faraswecanlead: (that happens to big spiders too)

Probably because most other people wouldn't want to.
