[Devil's cake today is a chocolate ice cream cake with nuts and cream. He picks at it a bit listlessly with his fork before eating a piece, chewing lazily. He sighs. He's done so much sighing today.]

Maybe it would be a good idea for me to disappear, Munnie. It's not as if you'd get to use me much as I've got no one, yes? Maybe you know someone who can do an exorcism? Or something similar. It'll be good for you, I think. You'll have less to worry about and I'll be off somewhere. Maybe a vacation will be good...

[Green eyes stare down at the cake.]

Eating cake. Like a child. Like a small animal.

[He shakes his head but continues to eat. Because what else is he good for after all?]

It's time to stop, innit? It's not like I can do anything for someone who is still besotted with someone else, who can't even appreciate me for being me. It's a futile effort. 'No use being where I'm not wanted or needed or even liked. 'No use knocking on a stone wall.

[He pauses and just stares at the crumbs left on his plate.]

I wouldn't have minded getting to know him if he'd let me, but I guess it's not meant to be. He doesn't want to get to know me anyway, so what would have been the point?

[Finally, he looks up to meet the Mun's eyes, smiling a little.]

Now how's about that exorcism, hm?

[There's someone nudging Devil. With a stick.]

Oi. You gonna exorcise that cake back out of you or something?

[The nudging catches his attention, of course. Then the stick and then Germany who is asking the question.]

Noooo...

[He's very intrigued by the stick for some reason.]

[The nudging doesn't stop even when Germany already has the other's attention.]

Why not?

[Nudge.]

That would at least be worth the bother!

[He interrupts the nudging so he can stare more openly.]

Oi. Do you bite?

[ He rolls his eyes. ]

Why would I appreciate someone who replaced the only important thing I had? You're as deep as a puddle. There's not much to know about you that isn't obvious to everyone at first glance.

[It's sad how his heart still skips a beat at the sight of him but at the same time he's tired. The Devil leans forward against the table a little, arms crossed, eyes narrowed. A new slice of cake before him, just waiting to be consumed.]

What do you want, Jersey?

[He asks straight out, tone level and deeper than normal. Honestly, he's curious why the other would even bother to be here.]

I thought we had nothing to say to each other.

I like my cake in my tummy, luv. It's where it's supposed to be.

[Finally, the nudging stops. The Devil can stand being poked for a long while, he's got patience at times, but it's a relief that there's no more of it. At the question, he smiles a little mischievously.]

If you want me to, I will.

[ Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the imp has a rather convenient way of forgetting he's not the only one who's lost something here. And it actually really pisses him off. It's hardly the first time this has happened, after all. So maybe he just feels the need to give as good as he gets. ]

And I thought you said you were disappearing— but no one's surprised to see it's not happened.

[It's hard for the Devil to see it that way as he's felt that he's been here all this time, just waiting. It's only now that he's realized such a thing but there really isn't anything he can do, is there? And it's not as if he hadn't tried to fill the void somehow but to no avail.]

[The statement makes him smile, a cold smile that could be more commonly found on a normal England's face.] Well, I am eating cake, love. 'Can't do everything that you tell me to.

Since when have you ever done what I wanted? I've never gotten my way and I'd appreciate it if you stopped talking like any if this is my fault. Me not being around never stopped you before.

[ Fill the void? Replacing people is not as easy as it may sound and probably shouldn't even be tried. It's as offensive as... well, as the next thing that comes out of the demon's mouth. ]

What is it the pirate calls you? "Slut"? Doesn't that just mean you're very friendly? So you won't have any problems not having anything to do.

[It's never really been said that the Devil was aware of social cues like that or cared for them. He's more like a cannonball going through life, really.]

[The word is offensive, but the Devil is in a place at the moment where nothing much could really hurt him. Jersey's already done damage yesterday and this time all of this is just like foam balls being thrown at a wall. And so he shrugs almost nonchalantly, eats his cake. This has been mentioned some other time before.]

I guess so. If I cared to.

But if you could get it out, you could eat it again! And again. And again! Without ever being stuffed from too much cake! That would be awesome!

[He grins at the idea, then moves the stick from his left to his right hand. Maybe he should try using cake as bait...]

No. The awesome me is not interested in getting bitten by you. Buuuuut.....

[And as he trails off, he extends his now free left towards one of the Devil's horns. He. Has. To. Touch. THOOOOSE!!]

[ It's true that he can't really digest purely non-meat foods, so he's never really had much of a sweet tooth, but, damn, if he doesn't really despise desserts now. He bares his fangs momentarily, then crosses the distance between himself and the imp. In one quick, fluid motion, he reaches out to scoop up the cake and shove it into the redhead's face. He knows it won't make much of a difference, but he doesn't care. He can't do anything else. He is not allowed to truly fight. ]

You will.

[ And then he's gone. ]

...Coward.

[He's really had it with Jersey turning his back and leaving him. Calmly, the Devil tries to carefully wipe off the cream and nuts and chocolate, using his fingers and curling his tongue toward what he could reach. Another sigh as he tries to clean up the mess Jersey left him with. As he continues, his shoulders start to wilt. The fight and attitude seeps out of him the longer he works on the mess on his face.]

It's harder than you think. 'Very hard when you're all in here and wouldn't get out...

[He sucks on a creamy finger thoughtfully.]

And you say I'm narrow as a puddle...

...You must like eating cake a lot.

[Perhaps even much more than him. Oh, oh and the horn poking.]

Yes~?

Only until it makes me feel sick!

[He sticks out his tongue at that comment as if to emphasize his words a~nd... Pokes the horn.]

Hey!! It's REAL!!

[Poke poke. Oh, now he's happy.]

[And he has to laugh at that too despite the horn poking.]

That is true~ It's sad when that happens. And of course they're real! It's not Halloween anymore, yes?

[And since you're paying attention to his horns, maybe you'll also come to realize that he has a tail. And wings.]

[You don't want him to start pulling your tail...]

Halloween? That's Aermica's holiday. The carnival season at my place has just begun a couple of weeks ago, however! That's much more awesome than just having a single day to dress up, kesese~sese~

[And he points at the wings. No more poking. For now.]
