[ Hearing just his Pokemon's name doesn't say much to Ash. But speaking of Pikachu it's right there next to his trainer, having perked when hearing it's name and is now looking at N curiously. ]

This Pikachu is your friend?

[N doesn't regard ash visually, but does stoop down to pikachu's level and greets him with a bright smile. he can hardly believe it! he hasn't seen one of these guys before, and can't resist reaching out to pet him gently.]

[ Oh, Pikachu likes gentle petting. He squeals a little in delight before greeting N back. It's also very clear how much he likes the compliment on his strength as he then respond with a cheerful 'chaaaa'. ]

[finally, he turns to look at ash, his expression softening. it's hard to be resentful or overly wary around a trainer who undoubtedly loves his pokemon so much.]

How lucky for you. Many humans will never experience this level of friendship with their Pokemon. Please continue to take good care of this marvelous Pikachu.

[ A 'Pika' in agreement before Ash brings his attention to N's words. He understands them fully having seen trainers who simply pick the best Pokemon they can find and use them. Abandoning any Pokemon they deem 'weak'. ]

[ash reminds him a bit of nate and hilbert; N didn't think other people with this mentality existed, but it seems ash has just the same sort of pure-hearted idealism as the other two. he stands to correct his posture after giving pikachu one final pat.]

Hearing of such devotion to your Pokemon warms my heart greatly. I would like to request a battle with you, in order to properly test that bond and perhaps come to understand you a little better, but my Pokemon are not with me at the moment.

[ After N finishes correcting his posture Pikachu goes and climbs onto it's usual spot on Ash's shoulder. At the time Ash was laughing sheepishly at N's comment before hearing the battle request.

... oh. He doesn't have his Pokemon with him right now. That's a shame... But Ash smiles brightly at N's question at the end. ]

Yeah! It'll be great! The next time we meet and ya have your Pokemon we can have a battle. I'll show you how much my Pokemon and I have bonded then!

I'm looking forward to it. I have recently gained an appreciation for battling, and dare to say I've become pretty good. It truly has helped build a bridge of understanding between myself and my Pokemon friends. I didn't always think that would be the case, however.

What kind of place is Luceti? Mun hasn't told me much about it.

It's considered to be a village on the small side by some, but there are quite a lot of people there, many that are even from different worlds and universes. Also, everyone here is given wings of various colors that seem to match to a person's respective tastes. [Including ours, which is a bright green color very similar to the color of our hair. ^^;;] Occasionally there are strange events that happen during one's time in Luceti, some with slightly more bitter or bothersome flavors to taste than others, but everyone I've met so far here have been very interesting to speak with--even those who aren't familiar with Pokemon back where they were from.
