She listens intently, frowning ever so slightly with some of the details - an arranged marriage, fleeing to the woods-- an actual corpse bride? It's not that she doesn't believe him, far from that. But it's in Alice's nature to be curious and sometimes she can be rather impressionable. ]


So you married a dead bride. [ Matter-of-fact, but not judgemental. Whatever happened to "until death do us part?" ] And your family refused to believe you?

[ She purses her lips. ]

The question is how much he helped you. [ She places emphasis on "help", but from her tone she means the exact opposite. ] I only wish I had a way to help mend that situation.
