Voice testing new muse; considering Destiny Strings
As I see it it's no different from before.
It's a world awash with different beliefs and systems, and these differences in belief do nothing but provoke conflict in the peoples willing to fight for them. The reason for each groups struggle is the same; in becoming the dominate force they hope not only for their belief, their Reason, to thrive but for peace within this reason as well. Some believe that, in the end, there needs to be no dominating Reason and that multiple ones might live in peace. While some might see that as the perfect outcome, it's also an outcome that's unattainable: as long as their are multiple Reasons to be in the world that people are willing to argue and fight over, there can be no peace.
What is needed is one Reason alone, that all people believe in and live by. The selfish desire of individuality and personal freedom need to be eradicated, allowing for a belief that promises true security, that can guarantee peace and prosperity for all people. There will be no conflict, no unnecessary distinction between one another for all are one. I am you as much as you are me.
It's a small price to pay; individuality is more a burden than a blessing. When does anyone know who they truly are when they have no source that might confirm who they are? It results in little more than a fruitless search, the answer always seeming like low hanging fruit that ends up being far higher than you anticipate. To sacrifice that, to sacrifice uncertain self-satisfaction for true peace, is not a sacrifice at all.
This world, like the last, needs the Reason of Shijima. And I will provide it to it.

[Have a very angry Demi-Fiend who is very close to erupting and killing Hikawa where he stood.]

[If you're expecting more than that at the moment, Demi-Fiend, you're out of luck. If you want to expend your energy on something as pointless as anger, fine. But Hikawa will just wait and see if you have anything worth saying in his opinion.]

[He's suddenly calm about just insulting Hikawa. This had been a long time coming.]
The peace you desire is basically dead silence. True, it might, or even would, get rid of conflict if others do have the same mindset and goals or whatever, if everyone was the same and had no desire from conflict.
HOWEVER, you would just be killing the world. Joy? Laughter? Anything that makes the world worth living for? The world might as well be destroyed if that's the case. Yeah, everyone would live, but for what purpose? To be some mindless doll for your reason.
Quite frankly, I hate your guts. For simply causing the Conception, I should summon every last demon I have, and let them have a tug of war with you. And it's not like I haven't tried to understand everyone's point of view, and I sure as hell don't agree with Isamu or Chiaki.
But your little dream ain't happening. I have seen some of the worst humanity can bring from your damn little event, but I refuse to just let it die with pure silence!

How long do you think it will last, whether I am there or not? And how many times will war between the factions there occur?
What I offer is the only logical solution.
no subject
Fuck, I can't even believe I considered your offer for a time back home.

What is joy? How do you quantify that? The problem is that you can't. Joy at the moment has too vague a definition. Too variable a one as different people find joy in different things. In the world I will create joy won't be an undefinable concept, but an actual thing. Joy will be Shijima.
Does your own free will mean so much to you that you would condemn all other living things to possible death if it meant your own will could continue?
no subject
You say there's no joy to it. I say there can only be joy in it.

And before you say how I forced them, I gave them the free will to choose, maybe even offered things so they could join me. Not a single complaint is heard on my side because I don't just force them to accept my reasons. In reality, these demons have acted more with their emotions than any of you guys that are left.
Death is something that's natural and can't be escaped from. Even in this demon body, I'm gonna die eventually. Nothing is eternal, and no matter what you do, even your plan, death will come, because your silence will kill that individuality, their identities. I would rather have my free will and die like I am now, then to be under someone's thumb just for the sake of peace and life. It's that free will that makes each of us unique. It's what makes us US! That includes even you!
Unless your sponsor is the real puppeteer. I wouldn't be surprised or care either way, considering you'll just die if you continue to get in my way.

You put too much emphasis on it because it's all that you know. Shijima is not an escape from death, nor a result of fear of it. Rather it's a reason that asks why man should hurry to his death in his conflicts, and comes to the conclusion there is no reason. In it man is no longer against man, but are brothers.
Your free will does not make you unique. All creatures have it. We are all, in a general basis, wired to be the same. But we end up different because everything that made us who we are now is faulty. In the end, this path corrects those faults.

Look, I respect your quest for peace and quiet and communion with nature and god. You're some sort of mystic. I get it. But you can't impose your idea on others by removing their free will! That's insane! What would humanity be without the possibility to make mistakes, to discover things, to grow? You're playing the Great Will's game! He'll have you all enslaved and serving Him forever and no one will ever be able to do anything about it!
You say there can only be joy in your world. All I see are Stepford smilers who can't even have the possibility of being self-aware.

There will always be death. And then there will always be life as well. People should be able to make choices. Whether or not they fight, well, I put it down as poor communication or a desire to listen.
And I listened plenty enough. [Naoki raises his hand.] History repeats with blood. Where it will end, it's pretty damn obvious from where I stand.
The world will not be filled with purely blood. It will not be isolated. And it will not be silenced. Everyone will have the paths they walk, and even if no demon or Servant stands by my side, I will ensure that such a future exists once more!
[Dark energy surrounds Naoki, and summons his group of demons behind him. Among them are his strongest, like Lilith and even Metatron.]
Now then, how about we settle things right now? Your future can't even exist until you remove me, right? Because I sure as hell am not joining you.

And the people who blindly follow their own ways are self aware? How? Like myself they follow their own reason but they have nothing to guide or decide the principles of this reason beyond themselves. Any joy they feel isn't sincere but a bastion attempting to keep away the fear and uncertainty they do feel.

It does because you cling to that system. It doesn't need to be so, though you aren't open to logic it would seem.
[Hikawa shrugs. What can he do? Without his demonic sponsor his own sorcery is no match for what Naoki has become, let alone the demons he can summon at the moment.]
If you wish. Though, I wonder.
What difference will killing me here make for your world at all? Mine might be removed, and if you will not take one of your friend's reasons, what will you do? To return the world to as it was is pointless; you'll have delayed the purpose of the Conception but inevitably it will occur again. It's a necessity of the world.
Or you could take his route and turn the world into a Shadow Vortex. But even I am not that heartless, and I doubt you would be as well.

And besides, after everything you did, do you think there would be no one to give you punishment? I'm sure as hell no Fiend or angel, but I'd be more than happy to kick your ass for free.
[And with a smile on his face.]
That, and who says I won't be able to stop it? Or maybe a certain friend of mine who isn't present can do something about that.

You're both oh so pretty.
[Just said as smarmily as she can manage.]

As for free will, it is the entire base of the diversity of humanity. We war, of course, yet without this free will you would not have had your idea. You wouldn't even had any chance of swaying me in your direction. It's entirely because you and I can decide for ourselves that we're here, and you want to throw that away? Over my dead body. Oh, wait. In my world you're dead as a doorknob, and the more you talk the more the sympathy I had for you when I did kill you is vanishing.
Why wouldn't they be self-aware? Because they're not as "enlightened" as you? *Yes, Hikawa. She did do air quotes right there.* You accuse me of judging by only what I know, but you're doing the exact same, forcing everyone to measure to your arbitrary standards of awareness and success. Just because they haven't had thought about their insignificant place in the universe like you have doesn't make happiness out of reach for them.
