No. She wants to play me again. She hides it with irrational fears. If she doesn't stop crowing about them I'm going to take a knife to the inside of her head.

Ah. [Just going to take a cautious step back now.] And that would intimidate her into letting you out every now and then?

Yes. Spending time in here lets me get to know the surroundings. There's also many hostages I could take in here.

[He pauses. Huh. He's never had to really explain what he was before.]

[He perks up, which is probably his bird equivalent of a smile.]

Surubalu Tattoi. Just Tattoi, please. [He'd shake your hand, but you... don't exactly have hands. He'll settle for a quick nod instead.] Nice meeting you.

[He has hands, sort of. They're just taloned, and probably not all that good for shaking. Not that he's all that knowledgeable of customs like handshakes anyway. He utters Suruvalu Tattoi quietly to himself, committing it to memory.]

Agreed. My mun especially appreciates it, but I think she wants to change my first name now. [At least Suruvalu isn't a big change...]

Oh. I do not think that would ve very good at all. To lose one's name is a terrivle waste. It is sometimes the only tie we have left to our families.

My name. My mun has made the change, and seems to be fond of it. She thinks it further distances it from a certain language. ...Also, I believe she's fond of you and would like to know what segment of media you're from.

[Being able to pronounce those B's and P's would be really handy right about now. Regardless, he's proud of his recitation, puffing his chest out even though he hasn't a clue what most of that meant.]

I see. Mun says I originated from similar circumstances, although I was far different back then. Changed only for the better, it seems, although she's paranoid that some of my traits might cause trouble. Can't convince her otherwise.

And what kind of traits would those ve, Mister Tattoi?

[He's counting these off on one hand.] Being an anthropomorphic character. Being part machine. Being what some would call a villain. Not the best of combinations.

Machine? Ist... like a construct?

[nitrogenius]

Yes. Something made of materials that are not alive. [He extends his left arm so Vilheim can take a look. It's all very patchwork metal, and it's ice-cold.] Like this.

[And now he suddenly looks uncomfortable- well, as uncomfortable as his bird face can express, anyway. He shifts from foot to foot, fidgeting as he eyes that arm.]

Ah. Yes. So is... erm. And the rest of you is not like this, then?

[nitrogenius]

[Bird, you have bad eyesight. See those big fleshy prehensile ears? The right one's mechanical too, and so's his right leg. They... also seem to be leaking some kind of cold white vapor. He's just going to step forward so you can get a better look.]

[otherbrother]

[He takes a step back in tandem. While he can see his leg and ear are... unusual he has very little reference for technology.]

I assume that is a yes? I was thinking was armor. For vrotection.

[And now he's going to shrink down as much as he possibly can in the hopes of escaping some kind of construct-based wrath.]

Little bird. Are you afraid? [He's realizing that he might have some power over the tengu; he steps forward again, doing his best to loom over him.] There's nothing to be afraid of...

[Vilhelm cowers under that looming, trying to find the hilt of his sword as he does. He does a poor job of it, as he's trembling too badly. Uttering something in Tengu that's probably about how much he doesn't want to die, he does a very poor job of looking brave.]
