Ohhhhho ho ho, I think I may. Try being part of the group traveling to see such a seer, or make sense of her answers after. I think sometimes that seers are so miserable at seeing the future that they spend all their time coming up with cryptic and song-like ways of wording their portents simply to annoy those who come bearing questions.

And most of the time you don't even know the real meaning of the portent until after the foreseen event has already come and gone!

With seers and visions like that, why do most adventurers go to them at all? ...I'm at a loss.

Seers are technically frauds. They make guesses by checking over the customer and asking glib questions, all for a few pretty creeds. Not very noble people. A true seer is the High Seer. But then, he's not much help either.

[She smiles and takes his gloved hand.] Nura Nal. Charmed.

Nope, it's not elven. [She reaches her thin fingers up to her ears and touches the lobes.] I'm Naltorian. That's an alien race far off in the future...judging by your attire.

I beg your pardon? And how do you know, good madam, that I don't simply dress this way as an anachronism? Perhaps I hold an affection for linen clothing and leather armor.

Please, miss, I know what a computer is, mostly. It's typically a box, with boards known as integrated circuits. It uses electricity to carry information much like my scrying network uses leylines to carry magical energy.

Unless you wanted the glib answer, which is simply: something that computes.

[She looks at it, arching a brow, the way an adolescent would when sizing up the appearance of one older than them.] ...different.

...If I had a head, it would be aching right now. Then again, since my game doesn't have a Dream Girl yet, I probably don't technically know ya anyway...
