It's been a long time, hasn't it? Ah, it's not that I'm lonely to anything, really! Promise! I've met some pretty awesome people here. . .and it beats being. . .Well, you know. . .

Still, I do get to thinking sometimes. Can't be helped, right? You spend enough time in that forest and the ghosts start talking to you. Probably shouldn't have spoken back, huh? Little late to be musing over all of that, I guess. Kind of like a lot of things.

It would be nice though. Seeing someone again. . .Maybe not everyone, but who doesn't think of home from time to time, right? It was once home, after all.

It does not mean they will never come. [He pauses too.] Though it is not necessarily always best to have those from home around.

I know that but. . .[Fingers curl in against his palm.] It's not the sort of place you would want anyone. And there are those who I don't. . .[But something stills his tongue at that, and all he does give his head a shake.]

I'm glad someone I know is here. I've been in and out of this Dear Mun place for months and I've never seen anyone until now.

So, that's what this place is called. . .Wait, you've been stuck here?! I've been at this other place for awhile now, and haven't seen anyone either, but it's the first I've heard of this place!

From what I can tell, this is where a lot of "homeless" people end up. They don't have places they can go to like yours. That explains why I'm always here.

Umm. . .well, it's a lot different from Sotoba. [Certainly one way to put it there, Tohru.] There's this goddess, or that's what she calls herself at least, and she's brought in people from a lot of different places. If I didn't know any better, you'd think I was talking about a video game, haha. . .

[Only it's not that funny. . .not when it's reality.] Ah! But, everyone here has been really nice! [His expression falters slightly, pained, almost apologetic.] And I haven't had to hurt anyone. . .

How long have you been there?

Well. . .mostly. . .[His gaze drops, reluctance halting his words.] There's been times when her power has lapsed and we return to what we were before. . .But, that's only happened twice in the year and a half I've been here! [A pause.] And you were there the first time. . .to help. . .I haven't had to kill anyone though.

I was there...?

[A slow nod at that.] When I first arrived. . .but that was a long time ago.

. . .I don't know. One morning, you were just gone. It happens to people here. They say they just return back to their own worlds. . .

...I'm sorry. I know it wasn't me, but...I still shouldn't have left you.

Listen...it sounds like your place is having some kind of event soon. What if I stopped by? Anything beats sitting around in this place.

[Eyes close as he gives a slight shake of his head.] I've managed all right on my own. And it's not like you really had a say in leaving that time, right?

[Ah, but that! A smile takes to his lips at the mention of that event.]

You should. It's not often people get to stop by like that for us!
